Is the Hp number really 355 or it is 315 as we have here? Or they calculate numbers different in Middle East?

Nice find! There are rumors that for 2008 the 5.3 will be upgraded to about 355 hp and about 370 ft-lbs of torque. If I am thinking right. 505 Nm is about 372 ft lbs. This makes me happy!

Don't they have much fewer emissions controls over there, for example, I thought I read where they run leaded gas and have no catalytic converters, etc. Probably not enough to free up 40 hp, just wondering.

Someone on another forum pointed out that they measure the power in gross horsepower unlike we do here. It looks like it has more horsepower and torque but it really is the same. I don't know if he is right or not though.
