Silverado vs Tundra in April MT

Both top trim models, Tundra had thier 5.7 while they only had the 5.3 in the Silverado (said they couldn't get a 6.0??)

Anyway... I was shocked when I saw em give the Silverado 1st!

Yupper, they said the Atomic Tadpole wasn't as strong a value as the Chevrolet. It wasn't worth the extra money. And they said GM's mechanical G80 locking diff was more effective at getting the power to the ground than the Japanese truck's fancy electronic traction control nanny.

They found Toyota's pricing scheme to be sneaky, I guess you cannot get the weak 4.7L midrange V8 in the trim level tested, which put the Tadpole like $4000 higher than the sweet Silverado.

No, not really. They said in the article they wanted to see how the 2007 TOTY stacked up to the newest truck on the block.

C&D and MT both said the exterior of the Silverado looked much crisper and cleaner than the Tundra, and that the interior was better as well. MT (I think) also said the paint on the Silverado was better.

I definatly agree with that. I've been studying styling trends for something I'm working on at my job. The Tundra almost looks dated, even though it's brand new.

The Tundra looks like a child designed it's exterior and interior. Time for Toyota to hire back the adults.

I know the Tundra has a more powerful V8, but I think the reason it's so fast is the 4.03 gear. I wonder how well the Toyota would accelerate if it only used a 3.73 gear like the GM trucks? And vise versa, would the GM trucks be able to keep up a little better in an acceleration match if GM used a 4.03 or even 4.11 rear end?
