Webasto is also the company that cursed me with the Gawd-Awful panoramic sunroof in my G6. Webasto can kiss my ass. I would think it over REAL GOOD before cutting a hole in a GTO roof for a Webasto sunroof, or any sunroof for that matter.

Can't wait until the lease runs out so I can get a G8.

I thought Webasto only made those cloth, full-size sunroofs back in the day... they still EXIST? :o

Actually, it was an available option on Monaro and Commodore and GM approved.

I would put one in my GTO if it was in the current budget.

The sunroof was part of a group of options called collectively "Holden by Design" or HBD.

I don't think I'd put one on the GTO. If I'm going to spend probably $1500+ on a modification it's not going to be a sunroof.

They only cost about half that amount when I priced them shortly after getting the GTO.

That's surprising. Is that after installation even? I figured they'd be at least as much as something from the factory.

A completely off topic note: I really like the idea of the huge. cloth sunroof. Bigger than a glass sunroof and less liely to have a huge issue than a panoramic glass roof, it seems like it would work well. My only concern would be long term durability and weather protection, although I'm sure some of the measure in place to protect cloth convertibles could be put into place. I'd love to get my hands on this:

I've always found option pricing to be either way high or way low vs. aftermarket. Some kind of OEM voodoo going on there.

No Sunroof was just one of the reasons I never bought this car. Other things that turned me against it was, no red dash, no HUD, no side impact airbags, no XM, no OnStar. To me it just wasn't Pontiac enough. But to each their own. :AH-HA_wink:

The GTO is a great car. The option missing was a completely new body. Talk about drab. If what counts is on the insde the GTO is a home run. A sunroof would not help this car
