I know this is bittersweet for you, so I don't know whether to say congratulations or I'm sorry. Hopefully she went to a good home, and you're pleased with what you got in return.

I did hear that WMJ said he was going to start a F bod 4x4 rig.....

Least it will go to a happy owner.

Thanks guys. I almost can't wait for it to go onto the trailer, knowing it is still in my garage is kinda tough.

For the curious:

The price ended up being just a sneeze over 30k with the scripted wheels added to the deal.

Now to sell the others...

... man this is making me tired.

And yet...

... I can't wait to go car hunting again.

Yes, I know I'm a sick puppy.

Congratulations, Camino. It must have been a hard sell for you.

You can only hope, though, that whoever bought it is someone who can treat the car right and not some kid who will stick a Metallica sticker on the dash. But I'm sure it will be in good hands. :)

Congrats Camino. I know its rough for you but there may be bigger and faster cars coming in the future. It could be a Ute even. Sendin good thoughts down there for ya bud.

Without revealing the new owner, do they have plans to drive it, show it, or store it? I'm hoping that it's well cared for with it's new owner.... what a piece of GM/Pontiac history!

I've been tempted to sell the SKY, believe it or not (I think not having it for over a month mad me go crazy). But then I think, what else is out there that I can enjoy as much as the SKY? Nothing really - and I wouldn't even know what old car (more likely an old GMC) to choose. Then if it was really nice and rare, then I'd never want to risk driving it. So I'll stick with the SKY and enjoy more of it this year.

Again, congrats on the sale of the Hawk, good luck with selling the rest of the fleet, and get ready to enjoy the thrill of the hunt for whatever will grace your driveway/garage in the near future.

Thanks GMT.

The buyer deals in collector cars so it will eventually be re-sold. I just hope that it will always be treated as a collector car and never a daily driver from now on. I want to feel like I did right by the car.

It left the driveway for the last time about 45 minutes ago. :(

Someday, years from now.... this will be a real Doozie of a mistake in hindsight.

Kind of like selling a MINT Deusenberg SJ D.C.P. for $8,000 back in 1957.

As a fellow last-gen F-body (albeit not as rare) owner, I know how attached we can get to these cars and I can understand how tough it is to let one go. As much as I hope to keep mine forever, I still hate the thought that there exists a slight chance that one day I might have to give it up. Anyway... congrats on reaching your current goal.

I've thought about selling the GTO too if we could get $20k or so for it; it's just sitting in the garage and the only times its gets driven is sometimes by my dad and when I come home for breaks or occasionally on the weekend.
