So, anyone ever had it before? Did it go away quickly? Anyone mistake you for a drug addict?

I woke up with it this morning in both eyes. I am absolutely miserable. I can't see worth a $h!, my eyes ache constantly, and I have to clean $h! outa my eyes all the time.

I'm hoping that it goes away soon, but the problem I have is that I am allergic to sulfa drugs. And, all the eye drops for pink eye are sulfa based. So they gave me some ointment that might work or might not. If it doesn't I'll hae to keep trying different things until something works.

Yes. It ruined a trip to Vancouver.

Generally, one eye is worse. But, since we are restless, we will itch one eye and transmit it to the other.

It could be viral or bacterial. (Dont' ask me how they could diagnose which is which). I took a risk and it went away in about 3 days. Still, it didn't look particularly good and it felt weird looking at the world through watery eyes.

Still, I would NOT take the risk and you should get seen. I am not allergic to sulfa drugs; however, I experience hives if I take them and get sun. I'll never forget that one!

I jizzed in my own eye after relieving my first case of blue balls.

That sucked.

That causes "white eye." :AH-HA_wink: Thanks for sharing.

I went to the doc this morning and she said what I was doing was just fine for now. Because of my allergy, there isn't really anything they can give me specifically for pink eye. The ointment the pharmacy gave me may get rid of it, but if it hasn't by the end of the week, I am supposed to go back in and get a perscription for something else that may work. It is pretty spendy though, so they is why we are waiting.

You have Pinkeye?

Say hi to Scott Baio for me.

/South Park reference.

crap! you beat me to it!

if you have a kid in daycare ever, you'll get pinkeye, ALOT.

I think the first year my kid was in daycare I had it like 3-4 times.

Plus, it can be major contagious in the initial stages. Nothing like having to stay home for it. Or, go to work, but hide in your cube all day and wash your hands a lot and not show your face when walking by others. And don't touch things others will be touching. And, the grossest part, having your eye drip and ooze fluid, ewe.....on the desk, on your face, etc.

One time I got pinkeye from my eyes getting burned from cleaning product vapors. My bathroom has poor ventilation and all the toxic cleaners poisoned my eyes so i got pinkeye from that.

I'm allergic to Sulfa too and my docs have always given me some kind of eyedrop that's cleared it up in about 4 days. I've had it a lot of times, and like said about, if you wear contacts, toss 'em, because they're covered with the pinkyeye bug and they won't EVER get clean. I've had it a lot of times, normally comes from when I wear my contacts for entirely too long, but that's about it. I'd stay home, keep a warm washcloth over your eyes (helps with the itching) and rest a whole lot, but if you've got meds, take them on time too.

went to the doc today and she said what I was doing will probably work just fine, and it seems to be after about a day on it. So ill just keep on with this. I knew to throw of the contacts. I called my eye doctor to see when I could start wearing them again. They said a week, but the interesting thing they told me is that pink eye can live on surfaces for months. So they told me that if I don't want to get it back again that I should clean absolutely everything that I touched, so tomorrow night Im going to be washing everything and wiping down my whole place with clorox wipes.
