OK. I am at the pizza store getting a pizza to go and I am noticing the really hot chick bending down in front of me writing a check or whatever at the register to purchase her pizza.

We're talking brunette 5'10 sexpot thin and leggy with a great ass and impressive rack. She has TIIIIGHHHT stretch pants on.

Ok, i am watching.

Inevtible in the britney spears era is the whole half an ass sticking up over the top of her waistline. Nice and tan. VERY NICE. except

HUGE TATTOO. WTF?

Its not like i need a target. i know what I am aiming for.

Now, I have no issues with the part about if you want a tattoo, get one etc.

I am just one of those that thinks the canvas (i.e. skin of a human, in my case, female) is a hellova lot nicer than the art (tattoo). why would you spoil such a fine looking ass with a tattoo?

Piercings. The chick making my pizza had a nose ring. I really don't care, i just think the human form looks better without.

So, informal survey, who likes tattoos and piercings? Who thinks they are attractive? I don't mind them, I just think the person looks better than the junk.

I can deal with a small hoop style earring on a guy, but I hate any of those stud style earrings, especially diamond studs. Beyond that, I don't like piercings of any kind on anybody, male or female.

I'm not a tattoo fan either really. I could deal with a small one. Those tribal things around a guys bicep are ok, but they are far too common to be interesting.

Basically, I prefer 'plain' people.

{thinking...} No quick answer for this one.

Piercings.... in general, I don't care to see peircings anywhere on the torso and the tongue is OUT. An eyebrow or 15 in the ears doesn't bother me, nose is... OK...., but that's it. Few things disappoint me more than a dangly dime-store piercing in an otherwise delectible navel.

Tattos I'm more tolerant of- it's much more a size thing. As a connoisseur of the line & form of a woman- a wide splorch of black permanent ink distracts my eye. Location doesn't matter, but I prefer they stay smaller than -say- palm-sized.

I can deal with a piercing, as long as it remains tasteful, same with tattoos, I don't want to see you turn your body into a piece of canvas for someone to draw all over, but at the same time, I know that there are people that do that. The wife has her ears pierced, I've got nothing, although I've thought the idea over of getting inked, she has too, but nothing huge, just a simple cross with roses tracing around it vertically for her, something a little different for me, but that's it. Keep it tasteful and I'll stare and drool all day.

some tattoos are awesome, that being said, it should really mean something to the person w/ it or be pretty small and hideable.

piercings...maybe two on the face is fine, ears are fine, more than that = overkill

Best. Line. Ever.

Don't really care for either one. I had an ear pierced once, but that lasted about two months. I would definitely pierce (again) before any tattoo ever.

I hate seeing people that look like God damn pin cushions though.

Obviously, being in a conservative position (work wise), that would not fly for me. There are three girls in my firm, all of them professionally trained, who are in their mid-20s. When they've had jeans or pants on during a casual day, I've watched them squat down to pick up something or reach up to reveal a huge tattooed area in their lower back above the beltline. I'm thinking "Why?" Why would you ruin the effect of what your natural skin may look like with that and, inevitably, when you get older, you may change your mind, especially as you advance in your field.

Piercings are okay as long is the only thing pierced is the ears, anywhere else other than that just distracts from a persons face. I am not a fan of body piercings at all, they are a huge turn off. I do have mixed feelings about tattoos though. To a point they can look okay if they are not huge or a design that is typical/overused. If they are small/not extremely visible, and of something unique or interesting I think they can be kind of cool. Regardless, I don't think I will ever get any sort of piercings or tattoos., just not my style.

I am not into the tramp stamps...though it suprises me sometimes to find out when certain girls have them...they turn out to be very common.

Not into tattoos in general really...Piercings are ok, but it depends on where...ears are fine, nose...meh, anything else on the face I don't care for. Bellybutton is fine I suppose...Nipple and vag piercings are pretty dirty, but for some reason I think I'd be mroe fine with vag than nipple piercings...I guess in the end it doesn't bug me though as far as that goes.

On guys, my friend pierces a lot and has some tattos, they are big, and on his back (he has angel wings tattooed on his back along with "Alis Volat Propriis" which means "he flies with his own wings" (I actually think it is "she" but it may not matter). Either way, the saying is total BS in relation to him being that he is totally dependant on his parents right now :P .

Some tats are ok I suppose, I don't think I would get one though. I pierced my ears though.

One or two piercings in the ears is ok on girls, but I don't like tattoos on girls. Piercings/tattoos on male athletes these days is the norm, but I think other males with tats/piercings look weird with them usually.

I don't mind ear piercings, but anything else is a turn off for me. I hate lip piercings...so many girls I know who are going "emo" get lip piercings, and it looks awful. Also, not a fan of eyebrow or tongue piercings. I guess I can handle nose piercings if they're the small dot kind on the side, but otherwise no.

As for tattoos, tiny ankle ones are fine, but anything else is not really my taste.

Posted

I don't mind them, I do hate the one that is on that piece of skin inside your mouth that dangles in front of your teeth.. I always think.. "you've got something stuck in your... oh..... it's a piercing"

Posted

I happen to love tats above a girls ass, and on their ankles...other than that its a turn off...and trust me I know...my girlfirend has 7 tattoos...2 on each arm, on eon each shoulder and on the back of her neck. It bothers me, but I've gotten used to it...I plan on getting one or two myself some day.

I'd guess I'd be the first to say that they really don't brother me-I guess I'm a bit opened minded about...I've dated people with

either or both, and it doesn't really bother me either way.

I might consider one tattoo down the road, but we'll see.

I woild rather see my sweetie with piercing than a tat ( a few extra earings or a bb ring), but I don't think she has plans for either anyways...

I don't mind em and can find them a turn on if done tastefully and in a classy way. Small, green/black tattoos are OK or hot, but it depends on location. Basically they should be discrete and only visible when not in professional/casual attire. I'm prolly going to get a small tattoo within a year, but it will hardly ever be visible. It's something I've thought about for a while and my feelings haven't changed/vascilated at all (nearly 4 years) so I feel comfortable with the thought of getting one.

Piercings? On girls I love a good dangly shiny diamond navel piercing. Ears of course (how many girls don't?), and I sometimes think a little diamond nose stud looks hot on the right girl as long as it is the right size (not too small or too big). Anything else kinda creeps me out.

I don't like things on my body, but I could deal with a small tat or piercing on someone else. Sleeves, huge tats and multiple piercings are gross though.

I like smallish tattoo's on a women's ankle, calf and back, not necessarily the small of the back though. Arms, chest, upper legs tend not to do anything for me. My g/f has a 4" diameter tattoos between her shoulder blades and I love it. Then again, I like tattoos in general (I have 7 of them).

That being said, being an engineer, I've put and plan to put my tattoo's in places that can't be seen when I'm standing or sitting in the clothes I might wear to work, ie. a short sleeved shirt and shorts (even though I will probably always where pants)

My wife got a tattoo on the small of her back. Looks good to me. :)

In general, the tattoo would have to be small and subtle, and generally out of view. Female piercings, in my opinion, are acceptable on the ears and on the front torso (in three particular places). Anything else would be a negative distraction.

For myself, I have never seriously considered a tattoo, but I've always told myself that if I do get one, it would be a Happy Face on one of my upper arms or shoulders (as a demonstration of my admiration for humor -- though perhaps instead it should be the Comedy theater mask). I would not get any piercings under normal circumstances.

I'm not a fan of tattoos, though I have dated women that had a few, small hidden ones. I don't care for piercings beyond the normal (ears)...i.e. I don't care for pierced tongues, lips, eye brows, eye lids, nipples, labia, nose, sternums, necks, skulls, etc...

On others, it depends on the person and the design. Something discreet is ok. On me. no way. . never never never.
