The Buick was the value of the group it seemed. You could tell the Imperial was a Chrysler (bad weatherstripping) and all the awesome electronic gizmos like the push-button transmission scare me on a car this old. In contrast, the Buick had a regular bench, manual windows, manual locks, but air conditioning. Even had the little tissue box holder. I really, really love the LeSabre and the price is quite nice.

Just wanted to share.

God durn it, they're all honeys, but I agree with you on the LeSabre. I'd love to have that big ol' floater to cruise around in. Thanks for posting! (I also love that Imperial...)

Side note: really cool shots of the cars in your sideview mirror there, Superfly.

I just saw that Imperial on Fantastic Voyage. I love watching those old movies for the cars, although I suspect many others would watch that movie to see Raquel strip off her wetsuit. LOL.

I would take the Chrysler. I've always had a soft spot for the Chrysler flagship. I would kill for a '68 convertible. The Buick is a clean design. Very nice.

Nice collection of well-preserved drivers. The Olds looks the nicest, quite nice in fact- restored? That price seems very good for a 2-dr, if a nice resto it's definately low.

The Impy is in a grey area between the old guard, which would end with the '62s, and the 'new guard' starting in '65. Without checking, I believe '63-64 are low on the Impy collectibility totem pole. That completely non-factory re-upholstery job is a hideous deal-breaker. Push-button TorqueFlites were electro-mechanical, not vacuum or electronic. Very reliable. Carbiz- there was a '68 convert in the junkyard near me- it's gone now tho (crushed). It was is rough shape, but restorable, esp given the rarity (1 of 474!!). I want to say it had buckets....

The '67 Series 60 Special is a real sweetheart- they are so luxurious & comfortable inside (fold-down tray tables & foot rests, plus the 8 power vents windows are pretty cool). Same yar that had the Impy ragtop had a white '65 S60S.

The LeS is such a nice example of the period Fisher Body fastback, tho I'd prefer a Poncho or at least a Wildcat.

In general, these are too new for me to run up & lick the doorhandle of, and the one that is old enough is an Olds, which I am not into except for a half-handful of models.

 that Buick LeSabre is sex on wheels.

That could be the classic in my driveway. That is until i get my Oldsmobile Toronado.

Paint seemed a little iffy in some areas and the interior was okay. I made the comment I made based on the fact that for the money, I could drive away in the Cadillac.

My father noticed that instantly since he grew up with these cars, namely that it didn't have that "Stupid French-looking $h!" as he remembered them.

Curious: clarification, please.

I think I'd like to have the Imperial out of the bunch, simply because of the weird factor and because Mopars are the one thing I still know virtually nothing about. That and because I could drive it every day and not feel bad because it's not the best looking and the interior's already been redone, like balthazar said, in a cheesy and completely non-original way. It's got daily driver written all over it. The Olds is too bland for me, although it looks to be a very presentable driver. However, don't you all be so quick to judge it as immaculate as some of you have; "walk by" white is an easy way to hide $h!ty bodywork. The lack of two-toning on this particular car in spite of the chrome trim as an easy breaking point (which is why 99.9% of cars like this are two-toned) seems to lend itself to that. I bet she's a little wavy up close. It's still a car I'd drive any day of the week and would have a ton of fun with, but not something I'd pay nearly what they're asking for. Price is too high for what it most likely is, but too low for it to be really nice. My guess is it was treated to said paint recently and the person who paid for it is trying to get back what they spent. The LeSabre is too boring for me and I'd much rather prefer its bigger brother, the Electra 225, any day of the week. Maybe I'm biased because I can think of about a dozen (literally) '67-'68 LeSabres around here being driven on a regular basis. I see them too much for there to be any sort of novelty there and would never want the car that everybody else has. That Caddy is nice, though; it's a hardtop, low mileage, appears to be in good shape for its age, great powerplant, great looks, and plush interior appointments that make me wanna drive across the country in it. Still a tad too pricey, though.

Wow... great post. Your Aurora is looking good too.

My first choice would eb the Cadillac, second the Imperial, then the (questionable?) Olds & then the LeSabre.

Nothing against the LeSabre though... still a gorgeous car.

The Cadillac Fleetwood is a 1967 BTW. 1965-1966 had vertical front lights,

not angled... & there is a bunch of other differances that makes the 67-68

better looking to my eyes.

XP: I was thiking the same thing, who does a two tone blue/white '55 Olds

but leaves everything but the greenhouse white? Fishy.
