That was by far the funniet F***ing thing I've ever seen in my life!

I almost fell off my chair here at work... people probably heard

me snickering & supressing exuberation in my cubicle like a five

year old schoolboy with candy in his pocket.

Even funnier than William Gates' blue screen of death eff-up!

PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE DEAD ROBOT BEHIND THE CURTAIN!!!

I also laughed pretty hard at the "Honda builds great cars...." headline.

That's priceless!

this is what happens when the irish program robots

The drunken Irish made the stainless steel DeLorean.

ASIMO is a Hon-DUH. Although I hear when they bring

him to the USA he'll get a very-slight cosmetic upgrade

& wear an ACURA Euro-ASIMO Type-S badge.

That face-plant is priceless! I love it.

(I'd still rather have an Asimo rather than a Ridgeline)

It was kind of funny but nothing to crap your pants over. Personally I think it's amazing how well it walks...but yeah...them Irish stair-clinbing programers need to keep out of the project :P

Wonder what happened. I've seen other videos of ASIMO walking perfectly fine. Looks like it just kind of stiffened up and fell over, maybe battery went out?

Fell on its Asimo.

Did they think dimming the lights and using a wall to cover up the Robot would suddenly make people forget it?

That's pretty funny. I hate that little bastard anyway... R2-D2 could kick his nuts... and bolts.

Exactly.  The Japanese are slipping.  They are letting videos of their failures reach the public.  Someone is getting fired!

It fell once, but it can still outrun and out-slalom a Pontiac!

I love ASIMO haha. Those last two vids of it slaloming and running are great. new ASIMO. It can be my own personal robot party drink server, or maybe get the door when I'm too lazy.

In all seriousness though, major props to Honda engineers for their devotion to robotics. Going through their worldwide site, it chronicles the development of its bipedal robot. Its come a long way since the mid 80's where a lone pair of legs was larger and clumsier than the current incarnation. Now it can recognize and imitate people's motions, wave back at people, kick around a soccer ball or (post 04 robot) climb stairs.

Robosapien V2 can't bring you a tray of beers. Unless you drink in proportional, tiny robosapian sized cups. You might want to hold off before you use the "I was drunk" excuse then since it'll take a day's worth of mini-beers to even realize you have alcohol in your system :P

Go ahead laugh it up. The poor midget inside that thing is probably dead or seriously injured. You try walking up steps with all that sh!t on. See how far you make it.

Yes, it is excellent that someone is doing this high level of R&D. Strange that it is a car company... but I guess they make jets now too. Heck, GM had to try twice to get me a signal light that worked!

Is it just me that wants to kick it everytime I see it?

TRUST ME, you're not alone. :CG_all:
