That's awesome! Yellow too!

I wasn't it biggest fan when it debuted, but that truck has grown on me.

Pictures! Oh, and a test drive. Just wait until he's at work or something. 8)

There is no 350HP version of the SSR. It's either 315 (I think that's what the 5.3 made) or 400.

SSRs are pretty cool, but I wouldn't want to be driving one everyday.

Are they available in AWD?

No, but they could have been. They are based on the Trailblazer chassis and could have had an AWD version with mostly off-the-shelf parts.

That is depressing.... why not get the stick & tell the

wife to stop being a looser & learn to drive manual.

Sixty4, if your wife is looser, I think there are exercises for that.

Getting senile there, PB, it's Sixty8 ...

....don't like the retro craze, it will look stupid in a short while and you're stuck making BIG payments!

I was just being a dummy, reg, sorry bud. I've always liked the SSRs, but they are definitely toys.

CB, I have been calling Sly Sixty4 since he got his 1964 Super 88.

ok, he said the dealers were still gouging on the 400hp models.

the 5.7 was around 32k, and I got the feeling they were still close to list or invoice on the 6.0's.

the Folding hardtop is way cool. He opened it up fo rme.

It's cooler than the factory one, I guess, but I'm still not a fan. I'd much rather have one of the first series ('47-'55) Chevrolet pickups they draw their styling from. Maybe I'm biased because my father had a '52 when I was younger and I spent a good portion of my childhood riding in it, but the SSR just never did anything for me. If I had that much money to blow on a modern toy from the General that had no practical use or purpose, I'd just go for the 'Vette. Or if I was really a big swinging dick I'd go for an XLR.

I've seen low mileage used 5.3/automatic SSRs available in the 20s.

SSRs WILL be collectible, regardless of the drivetrain configuration.

Yup... techncally I should be "Sixty4" now... my "Sixty8"

Camaro (Production f-body Panther) was sold so I could

buy the '64 Super88. Going by this logic I hope that all

of you will be calling me "Thirty1Pontiac" soon.
