I left out hyundai, and other Korean makes, as this is too obvious of a choice. To me, the current winner of choice is any older honda. Being a Landlord it becomes obvious real quick that those out of the know choose honda. For people worried about political correctness - WT means people who seem to think it's ok to go out in public without a shower, those who's homes are usually full of drugs, those who use public assistance for food but have the money to purchase cigarettes and beer, etc., etc. The color of their skin or heritage is irrelevant.

I chose Dodge Neon because they're sooooo crappy. I have yet to see one come in for collision repair that wasn't trashed by the owner.

I voted Integra/Legend but I think the #1 "white trash" car has to be the a tie between the Escort and FWD Monte Carlos. PLenty of NASCAR stickers adn duct tape all over them round these parts.

Los Angeles isn't that much of a white trash city...but I was just thinking Taurus, because it was the closest I could get to a big-enough family car that's cheap, able to be fixed anywhere, and could otherwise be treated like crap. If it was on the list, I'd have way quicker said front-drive A-body. But really, white people out here, trash or not, drive pretty much anything. I guess I just don't analyze whites very well anymore (besides seeing their youngstas liking to wear tight, grungy skater stuff)

wheres the Geo metro? thats all i think of . . . that and trucks, but i would have, years ago said a camero but now those are to collectable so i have to say honda civic, the little car to go with the trucks to make em look bigger

You must have missed my point about the white part. WT is not about color, but about stupidity.

Hello?!? ...Where's the '80s Ford Ranger? In the town of white trash (literally.. not many minorities here), they drive beat up Rangers... I see so many each day...

What... no Pontiacs on the list? :P (j/k)

I should clarify by stating 'white trash' being defined as cars I see a higher proportion of in poor to barely operable condition or sitting dormant in a state of total disrepair.

For example, the mid-90s Grand Am can be easily considered a 'white trash' car, but I see maybe 10-20% in below average to poor condition, as opposed to those Toyowagons, of which I've seen dozens recently, but none ever in decent shape.

I've yet to see a Metro convertible with its ragtop intact nor a Tercel with all its wheel covers or in one solid color.

I'd agree with everyone of them except the Dodge Dynasty. I still see quite a few in good condition. I'm always surprised when I see a good condition Dynasty, Fifth Avenue, & New Yorker from that particular generation. Amazingly, I see more poor condition Imperials than the others combined. The Grille is always terribly damaged and the headlight covers don't ever appear to be operable.

Are you calling me white trash? :P

Also, speaking of Tercels... We went to the drive in Theatre last night. The Blazer's battery died. The guy next to us in one, helped out my mom. He and his car were very... white-trashy. :D

Location within the country would also dictate what WT people drive. I see more trashed civics with people smoking in them than anything else. For the record; I consider the smoking piece a huge part of being WT. There's nothing like having the cash to purchase your cigs & beer, but having to use food stamps for your steaks and prime rib. Older pickups and vans have to top the list. 3rd Gen Camaros are up there (I cant add Firebirds because this really hot girl I know drives one with T-Tops) as are pretty much any other domestic built between 1983 and 1995, with an emphasis on Pontiacs, Oldsmobiles and Mercurys. Hondas and Toyotas seem to be making there way down to this level slowly, at least in these parts.

What in the flamin fuck kind of poll is this ? What are you talking about ? Any of you ? Get out in the world and get a life. Are we talking downtown crackville or are we talking down to earth country folk, are we talking West coast, Connecticut or rural America. If your talking welfare, talk welfare, that would narrow this crap down. You all just narrowed white trash down to anyone white living in rural America that doesnt fit into your assumed tax bracket. Let me make this very very easy for your overly educated yet still simplistic minds City welfare - mostly very tired Riceroni Country welfare - mostly very tired American made cars ANY QUESTIONS ?

White trash is like pornography. I cant describe it, but I know it when I see it. As for your crusade against higher education, you do realize that without "overly educated yet simplistic" minds you wouldn't have that little box called a computer that you use to bitch about stuff, and your life expectancy would be like 38. Your entire post comes across as bitter, something in the past you would like to get off your chest? Maybe something in regards to all the white trash mentioned on here? Were you turned down from an institution of higher learning? Did a giraffe eat your cupcake?

Im a white country boy that has busted my ass my entire life. I know many people that bust their asses and work hard and are not trash that do or have drivin some of the cars and trucks in those photos. My reference to overly educated simple minds was just verified by your simplistic inability to comprehend why I am bitching, as well as your simplistic need to ask me if I realize the benefits of tecnology. My reason for referenceing to the overly educated simple minds is because I feel somewhere during the learning process many seem to forget where they came from which is a trait of being simple. Combine that with the steady deterioration of this thread to include any and all cars and trucks that were ever driven by white country folks brought me to realize we were dealing with some simple mindedness, but somehow that went right over your head. Im sure the Giraffe caught it though.

Funny that no GMs are on the list...And some of the world's most reliable cars are on that list.... I have a 2000 Chrysler Neon and it as 52,000km and it's been trouble free since day one. I tracked all the service records from Chrysler and they've oil changes every 5,000km. My grandmother mom's side) has a Dodge Stratus, reliable, great handling...I dont call it trash. I've owned two Eagle Premiers, they were both fantastic vehicles and I'm looking for another one ( a 1992 Limited with leather) My trash car list: My father's 99 Malibu, in 120,000km, brakes were replaced 4 times, leaking prestone, ABS light on twice, wheel bearing replaced twice... Grandmother's (dad's side) 2003 Impala, smoking brakes, engine knocks...only 33,000kms... Ever heard of the Chevy Cavalier and Pontiac Scrapfire, they're worst than the first generation Neons. Lemons, they're everywhere, any kind, any models...

The poll offers up the Camaro, although it specifies 90's models, which should be 3rd gen. I agree with the Crapvalier and Shitfire, those are not impressive automobiles. One I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned or not is the first gen Taurus. Those are all over the slums. And the Metro, how could I forget about the Metro?

There are more "yinzers"* driving Grand Am's then you can swing a dead cat at. *yinzer - A derogatory term for a white trash Pittsburgh native based on the fact that they use the term "yinz" instead of the word you.

You really want to know what the WTs are driving? Go to Wal-Mart sometime when it is kind of busy. Drive around the parking lot. 2/3 of the cars there are WTmobiles.

last generation buick skylark?  :puke:

[post="16655"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]

I have a kind of funny story about the skylark, not the last gen, but the one before that, with the really pointy nose. This dude I used to work with had one that I called the granny car, there was even a pillow on the seat. He would defend it by saying that the pointy nose made it more aerodynamic and that it, if needed, could be used to plow through things.

There's a dark green Taurus running around here with that all the sheetmetal below the front bumper ripped clean off (though the rest of the body is more or less intact). The worst WT car I ever saw, though, was an Olds 98 from the early-mid '90's. It appeared to have been cracked right down the middle, from front to back, as there was a huge strip of duct tape running the length of the car. The vehicle was absolutely covered in the silvery adhesive... All over the trunk and bumpers, holding on the side panelling, holding together the weatherstripping around the windows. It was a ghastly sight. I simply could not believe that something like that would be allowed to travel on public roads. The Tortoise gets my vote on this poll, though WT cars can be seen anywhere and anytime. Even cars that were really nice 10-15 years ago will look really crappy now if they've been abused; many BMW and Mercedes models from that era have not aged well. Of course, the ride of choice for the WT man (or woman) is whatever they can find that will meet the following requirements: 1: Runs. 2: Is sufficiently anonymous and innocuous-looking; won't attract undue attention, other than giggles and comments of, "What a POS!" from passing strangers. 3: Can be easily repaired by any mechanic, or by any novice equipped with duct tape. 4:Will meet the bare minimum of state/provincial safety requirements once (there will be no need for the car to ever be inspected again). 5: Will be able to haul an acceptable amount of buddies/alcohol/drugs. So, to sum up, I really don't see the need for a poll here. It's a lot easier for us to describe all the various WT cars we've seen than to pick and choose from a selection.

So have I... But I'm not offended by it.

However... People calling Grand Ams white trash may start offending me if they don't shut their mouths soon... :D

It's not mean if it's true.

It's not that the cars are trash. It's that many of the drivers of said cars are trash.

ill say right now that the words white trash are not used in a flattering matter in any situation, and i dont mind dropping this topic, but hope you all realize that you are getting mega worked up over this, i have looooots of family in W. VA and etc. that live in trailers or fall under the catagories that you all are saying that is being inferred to outline that term but i do not find them to be as such, white trash is along the same lines as chris rocks stand up on "black folk and niggers" thats not me being derragatory, that is a quote and any who have seen it will know what i mean, there are poor white folk, hics, rednecks, bumpkins, and white trash you all know well enough what is inferred, i just hope this post is not taken the wrong way and i dont get any angry replies

Explain how - accounting for regional differences - this list isn't accurate.

BV, sorry, dude, but how many late-80s Grand Ams have you seen that look halfway decent?

I hardly see any pre-99 GAs in good condition. A friend of mine has a '96, and it is missing half of the rear bumper, it looks like absolute shit inside and out, and he took it airborn and bent part of the front suspension, which was fixed at his father's machine shop. Older GAs are "throw-away cars" people get them, beat them up and replace them.
Posted
Well, I can't help that people from your area don't take care of their cars. Around here... out in the country, people do. They may be retarded rednecks, but they do. And GAs are not looked down upon like they are in cities which are full of snobs who could care less about a car as long as it has the right emblem.
Posted
I saw an Emerald Green G6 GT coupe this afternoon at a small dealership south of here. I was happy to learn that color is available on the coupe after reading earlier that it would not be.

There is nothing "redneck" about Pontiacs, except maybe for certain Trans Ams after being unfairly pigeonholed by Burt Reynolds in some movie.

I love Pontiac and wish them all the success in the world.
Posted
I applaud Pontiac's decision to allow the customer to choose from all available colors on their sportiest models. *cough* CHEVROLET! *cough*.

I don't care what you guys say, I love the styling of these Buicks.
