Honestly. If people want to pay for the gas and expenses of owning the car THEY want, shut up and leave them alone. Don't force your crazy-ass morals on all of us. plz and thnx.

This makes my resentment for Green[/peace] grow even larger, this coupled with the fact they broke into the Land Rover Factory and chained themselves to unfinished SUV's. Not only are they pricks, they are vandals and trespassers as well.

Ah........theres always two extremes. Who wants to be at either end? not me. Its good to be enviromentally aware and concerned and do your part. Its stupid to have the Rush Lamebo f@#kyou attitude, lets promote excessive poluting industries and freedoms. You younger fellas have no idea what our air and water would be like today if no one gaver a f@#k back in the late 60's and 70's and made sure things began heading in a more concerned fashion. Everyone wants to cry about CAFE, Emission regulations, regulations on industry emissions, logging, land developement, wetlands, ect. ect. ect. You really have no idea what so ever the direction we were heading in the 50's and 60's with the care free, it will all wash down the stream, be diluted and make no matter. Believe me, you should be thankful your not living in that world that could have been.

While many of their tactics are questionable, it is not something that can not be said of any government or corporation. If not for these in your face organizations nothing would have ever been done. The blacks would still be slaves, the women would still not vote, the cities would still be choked with coal dust and smoke, workers (many children) would still be working 80 hour weeks for peanuts, there would be no forests left on the West Coast, all the giant Redwoods and Sequoias would be gone, our rivers would be dead zones, our well water would be poluted by local landfills...........get the picture ?

I choose to be rational about such things. There are many people out there driving "trucks" just for the sake of it, it hardly makes any sence. Its also made "trucks" more expensive than they need to be for those that actually use them.

Id be more concerned about the idiots that call for far more expensive gas to hurt each and every one of us that cant afford it while the rich bitches will still run to the salon for a manicure in the Escalade and think nothing of it.

I remember those days, my town was on a river that you'd have to be taken to the hopital and decontaminated if you fell in. At that time, there were rivers in the Midwest that caught fire. Yes you read that right, caught fire. There's a picture from the 50's taken from the corner I now work on in LA of City Hall across the street- only the two first stories are barely visible in the smog. I shudder to think about people actually having to have breathed that, and there are still days here that it's not the best air.

Having written that, I wish that some groups could come across as less strident and self righteous about some of this. Nobody wants to be told they are evil for buying an SUV, and frankly when it comes down to it, your Prius in only raping the environment incrementally less than that Escalade.

These groups just alienate most of the public by their extremist acts and agendas. They would be much better served if they would tone things down and attract more people.

It is sad when people like this are making 'enviromentalist' into something people don't want to be connected with.

I believe in taking care of the world we live in but cannot support Greenpeace because of the radicalism. I feel the same way about supporting PETA. When they were origanlly about taking decent care of animals they were OK, now they seem like a bunch of nutcases.

The commercial backfires because it makes you feel sympathy for the guy. And could his coworkers be any uglier, especially the ladies? I think the bitch that spits in the coffee is more of a threat to the environment..
