Interesting, if only for the fact that if the powetrain info is true, then it's not too hard to imagine the 2.0L DI finding its way into the Cobalt for the 2008 MCE.

The powertrain info is correct. It will get the same 2.0L turbo'ed motor as the Solstice GXP/Sky RL.

Any plans for a BAS hybrid HHR?

Any guesses on how well this'll compete with the Mazdaspeed3?

Ok, I guess.

won't match the hp though.

That, and the 3 gets another bump up next year....

But maybe, just MAYBE-it will get some add-on kits you can install the the dealership...just like the Balt'..... :)

Seems good, the 260hp should be managable even in FWD form. Going past 300 is where the grey area starts to begin and then it depends even more on the setup of the rest of the car.

I've been noticing the HHR has been showing up a lot more lately, even more so than new PT Cruisers. I think the HHR did retro better than the PT Cruiser, the Chevy has a certain blockiness to it that helps.

I love it! I'd buy this immediately. To me at least, this shows the naysayers of American engineering are full of it. Way cooler than a Mazdaspped 3 or similar. Once again, it shows GM build cars with character! Hey Toyota, do you even know what that is? No? Figures.

Agreed. Kinda gives you a hot rod feeeling-instead of the usual boy ricer feeling... :)

I can see someone driving home in one... "Look at our new car! It's the new Chevrolet H... H.... Hearse."

Well the W-body triplets are handling that torque properly. And they have a 303hp V8. Given Delta's a newer chassis they should be able to deal with it.

the torque steer is manageable... it can be eliminated on front drive vehicles...
