A few pictures from the Barrie autoshow in Ontario. Taken by polish_kris.

Here is the all new Elantra. It looks like a mish mash of styling cues from every other new car at the show. Some passers by commented that it looks like a Jetta. I dunno. The taillights kinda do. The inset round bulb part. Interior is solid as a rock and comfortable.

I leaned on it, and it didnt tip over.

I still say from the side it looks just like a baby, malformed LaCrosse. Maybe the Elantra was cut from the LaCrosse's stomach, a parasitic twin, like that one dude in the news recently.

Keep it. The Aveo doesn't look that much worse inside for alot less money. Also, I hate steering wheels that small. Plus, its a Hyundai and Hyundais say "I can't even afford a Honda."

The front is very similar to the Sebring, without the ribbed for her pleasure hood. The back is MUCH better. The interiors on both are good. Overall - *gasp* I'd take the Hyundai! The Sebring has been a great vehicle for generations now, but looking at these two, I'd have a really hard time choosing it. The Elantra would have to have some serious quality or reliability issues first.

Chrysler called, they wank teh Sebring's headlights back. The interior is nice though.

I thought the same thing at first. Then, I took a close look at both. While the basic idea is the same, they are differently shaped and executed.

Kind of like the Corolla and Cavalier tails.

Yeah, they are different, but the basic shape is there.

Very nice pics Ted, I have enjoyed all of them except the ones showing the poor interior quality with the aura, damn i hope thats just a hand built car because it has so much potential. BTW did you pull the radio buttons off the Elantra? I live close to the Hyundai plant in Montgomery Alabama and i hope they build cars better than that, if thats where its built.

Looks nice, but narrow-worlds better than the cheap-looking aging car now-hopefully the abysmal crash test ratings will improve.
