What is wrong with C&G and never updating the news? There have been major events since it was last updated, such as GM's new 5year/100,000 mile warranty. If this site is going to remain competitive it needs to be updated at least once a day. I like this site lot more then GMI but am forced to read GMI due to the lack of news here.

All of the admins have gotten busy, I guess. I'm away to college, and Fly is busier now than he used to be. We'll do our best and see if we can come up with any ideas for updating.

I'll post something in the mod forum about it.

Thanks for your feedback.

What if you assigned different people to monitor different news sources? Like have on member watch autoblog, one watch Detroit news, one watch Jalopnik, etc?

That's a good idea, but we still need some way to update the front page if the mods don't have time.

Well, since I usually post stories I read at Autoblog here at the website already, I guess I could be qualified for one position. Though, work and school certainly take up a good portion of the week. Still, it could be something I would be interested it.

I've noticed in a lot of cases whether it being work or school projects, etc., micro-management like that can have problems...

Just my $0.02...

It's called dedication.

Few have it. Most don't.

Nothing personal, but I believe you were the one that wanted to quit the site every couple months...

I actually started a similar thread some time ago. I would definitely like to see the news updated more regularly, as the membership at GMi is consistently pushing me more and more towards spending my time at C&G.

GMi has the super-ticker, but it often gets cluttered with toyo-talk. I like that the news sidebar here is seperate from the competition, but it definitely needs to see some more regular feed (as someone said, once daily would be appropriate)

And I know this would take a considerably longer time, but it would be great to see C&G get a new design language. The blue is kind of like the old-style GM -- time to take it up a notch.

Always appreciated. I've always considered our environment to be one of the best reasons to join.

I honestly like the SuperTicker in theory, but as said, many times import news since to dominate, oftentimes insignificant stuff, too. As is obvious, GM news is updated the most frequently with the most stories, while only the major import/Ford/DCX news is hit upon for clear reasons.

We'll definitely get up to speed on more frequent updates of our Hot Topics since many are calling for it.

You may remember a skinnable C&G with different divisional themes. Expect a return of these with more display-friendly and appealing visuals and the ability to skin your entire forum experience, not just the frontpage. However, due to the many projects we have in the works, I'll pull a GM and say - like the Cadillac ULS - its in the cards, but not with a definite release date.
