600HP and 630lb-ft from 2500-5500RPM on stock engine? :omfg::metal:

So, if I get an internship and make $10k next summer, who thinks this is a good idea?

http://www.ls1turbo.com.au/

The car fitted with it ran a 10.53 @ 137MPH, and it's heavier than the GTO... so that means under 10.5 in the quarter :o

I may need to upgrade the tranny, but other than that it can run on the stock motor, and has a good warranty.

Hey Northie, you said this set-up runs off a stock engine, right? Doesn't your GTO have a cam in it? I'd check to make sure your cam has the correct supporting mods (possibly lifters, rockers, valves, springs, retainers, 'rods) just in case you blow something if the dude that threw in the cam didn't throw in anything else... Just a FWIW.

Yeah, I was going to try to contact him anyways about it to see what he did exactly, but that's kind of been put on hold since I'm at college now. It could be that the dealership was just wrong or something, but my GTO is definetly more "lopey" than the one we had at the dealership I worked at.

But, I in the thread on LS1GTO, they specified that you didn't need to upgrade your heads, cam, etc., for it to work fine, so I don't know if it's really an issue.

Yeah, but my concern is that if the cam is upgraded without the supporting mods (because not all cams NEED the higher spec pushrods, etc. to work fine) could push extra strain on the system that could be avoided with a few hundred bucks...

Only 5 grand for twin turbos? Sheesh...maybe I should've gotten that GTO...

On second thought...nah :P

Though, in comparison, even a halfway decent single turbo setup for a BMW I6 will cost you atleast 10 all set up (from what I have seen there are no turbos out for my car, only centrifugal SC's that run upwards of 7 grand...). :nono:

Someone needs to fabricate a twin-screw for my car...
