Weird that I'd think of this, but there are two songs on my playlist that I think would make awesome Wedding Songs (like the song the bride/groom share the first dance with).

One is "Into the Mystic" by the Wallflowers (yes, the one from American Wedding haha) and another is "Far Away" by Nickelback.

What was/is/will be your wedding song?

What do you think some good ones would be?

Weird question, I know. :P

No? I've been to 3 I think.. my mom's sister's, my dad's brother's, and my dad's cousin (and their song was "Back at One" by Brian McKnight.. I don't like that song).

And, as a matter of fact, I'm going to a wedding this Friday. Friend of my mom's.

I have in two instances, recommended "Anything Goes" by the Guns n' Roses for weddings.

I have never been allowed near the singer's/DJ's after the second time.

My real wedding song was "End of the World" by Chris Cornell (the lead singer of Soundgarden) off his solo record. Yes the title sounds a little "off" for a wedding song, but the whole Chorus goes "Seeking a friend for the end of the world". We had seen him live the year before on his solo tour (small venue and 7th row center) and was blown away by the song.

We didn't want to do anything predictable or common - something that 99% of those at our wedding wouldn't know.

when we were picking songs for our wedding I thought Unforgettable by Nat King cole was a great song. One of Anne's songs that she picked was It Wasn't Me by SHaggy.

(Yo', man) Yo'

(Open up, man) What do you want, man?

(My girl just caught me) You let her catch you?

(I don't know how I let this happen) With who?

(The girl next door, you know) Man

(I don't know what to do) Say it wasn't you

(Alright)

Honey came in and she caught me red-handed

Creeping with the girl next door

Picture this, we were both butt naked

Bangin' on the bathroom floor

How could I forget that I had

Given her an extra key

All this time she was standing there

She never took her eyes off me

How you can grant the woman access to your villa

Trespasser and a witness while you cling to your pillow

You better watch your back before she turn into a killer

Best for you and the situation not to call the beaner

To be a true player you have to know how to play

If she say you're not, convince her say a day

Never admit to a word when she say makes a claim

And you tell her baby no way

But she caught me on the counter (It wasn't me)

Saw me bangin' on the sofa (It wasn't me)

I even had her in the shower (It wasn't me)

She even caught me on camera (It wasn't me)

She saw the marks on my shoulder (It wasn't me)

Heard the words that I told her (It wasn't me)

Heard the scream get louder (It wasn't me)

She stayed until it was over

Honey came in and she caught me red-handed

Creeping with the girl next door

Picture this, we were both butt naked

Bangin' on the bathroom floor

I had tried to keep her

From what she was about to see

Why should she believe me

When I told her it wasn't me

Make sure she knows it's not you and lead her on da right prefix

Whenever you should see her make da giggolo flex

As funny as it be by you, it not that complex

Seein is believin so you better change your specs

You know she not gonna be worrying bout things from the past

Hardly recollecting and then she'll go to noontime mass

Wait for your answer: go over there

But if she pack a gun you know you better run fast

But she caught me on the counter (It wasn't me)

Saw me bangin' on the sofa (It wasn't me)

I even had her in the shower (It wasn't me)

She even caught me on camera (It wasn't me)

She saw the marks on my shoulder (It wasn't me)

Heard the words that I told her (It wasn't me)

Heard the scream get louder (It wasn't me)

She stayed until it was over

Honey came in and she caught me red-handed

Creeping with the girl next door

Picture this, we were both butt naked

Bangin' on the bathroom floor

How could I forget that I had

Given her an extra key

All this time she was standing there

She never took her eyes off me

Gonna tell her that I'm sorry

For the pain that I've caused

I've been listenin to your reasonin

It makes no sense at all

We should tell her that I'm sorry

For the pain that I've caused

You may think that you're a player

But you're completely lost

That's why I sing

Honey came in and she caught me red-handed

Creeping with the girl next door

Picture this, we were both butt naked

Bangin' on the bathroom floor

How could I forget that I had

Given her an extra key

All this time she was standing there

She never took her eyes off me

Unforgettable - AWSOME, I love the old standards and Nat was excellent

I was just recently thinking I believe the name of it is "Could not ask for more" Sarah Evans, would be a good song for me and mine but it was also very popular when we had a major hurdle in our lives. So its significant I guess you could say. I bet thousands of country couples have already used it. So then I guess Id have to vote for "Get it on, bang a gong, get it on"............................ :pbjtime:

"Love of a Lifetime" by Firehouse was perty
