Someone in my neighborhood owns an old 1970 Challenger, so it's really nothing I haven't seen.

It's going to be hard to argue with a 425 hp Hemi.  Don't sell Mopar short.

4000+ lbs. Argument settled.

Motor Trend prognosticates the next Camaro to be a hair under 4000 pounds, due to crash regulations. I sincerely hope that does not happen. And Dr. Z needs to find a way to get the Challenger down to 3500 pounds.

All of these larger vehicles weigh sub-4000 lbs...

'06 GTO: 3725

'06 STS: 3858/3940 (V6/V8)

'06 CTS: 3627

'06 Corvette vs. '03 Corvette: 3199 vs. 3246

All these should be proof the Camaro will not be too close to 4000 lbs. I'd estimate 3500-3600 like Northie's guessed in the past.
