Spied: BMW M3 (full frontal)

Posted Image

The powerful M-version of BMW’s 3-Series is scheduled for launch next year only. The 3-Series M will be available initially as coupe, and later as convertible and four-door.

For the first time power will come from a V8 powerplant, derived from the M5 and M6. It is a 4.0 litre engine delivering 415 HP. Transmission is a seven-speed SMG gearbox. A traditional six speed manual transmission will be offered as an option.

Editor's Note: The Mizzle to the Thrizzle now has more sizzle, for shizzle my my dizzles. (Yes, I won't do that again for a while.)

Looks like the front body kit got warped under a heat lamp.

knowing that the M3 is all about torsial ridgidity I understand

why it's not a hardtop but why not pop-out windows like in

the 1970s at least?

Because pop-out windows reak of cheapness and there's a/c. Besides I doubt the rear seats of M3 coupes are used that often, though I'm sure some boisterous owners will disagree.

It's so disguised you can't tell how it looks.. it will be interesting to see in person. I wonder how much heavier the V8 is than the 6... it's going to be wierd to see the M3 without the 6..
