The 0 for 72 put the MAXX SS over the top for me and I broke down and bought it. I probably won't get it until Saturday. I'll post pics then. Hi-per tires XM 6-Disc On-Star Sunroof The REALLY sad part is that I will have to sell my 1996 Camaro Z28 Convertible. But my wife's lease on the G6 will be out in time for a new Z28... I couldn't go wrong with the 0% God, who would have thought I'd have two Epsilons in the driveway.

When Marcia's away the Tight Whips Car Club will play. Since this sunday at around noon the Camaro will be on a car trailer headed to Upstate New York I thought that it was only right to have one last earth shakin', tire fryin' burnout spectacular! Me & Speeding Penguin drove to an undisclosed location in New England and took some photos of the Malibu next to the Panther-Camaro. Then the fun began right when the tape started rolling. Make sure to check out the video, it's a quicktime. At one point I think I starved the car of fuel with the constant Gs. Then I flooded it but as you will see it started up fine. We have three videos all togeather but I…

I just bought a 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP Hardtop Convertible. I love it. The styling is top notch, as are fit and finish. The retractable hardtop works perfectly. The 227 hp, 3.9 L has plenty of pickup and it's fun to drive. All this for $32K MSRP. Great job Pontiac!!!!

As someone who's lucky enough to get to drive lots of vehicles for brief periods, I recently had one of the above for 2 weeks and 1000 miles. Pros: Great engine (too bad its' dissappearing), fun slot car feel, everything you touch regularly feels special, who could hate suede??. Cons: Very little interior space, Black hole atmosphere inside, really hard plain black plastic--over the entire interior--- Averaged about 22 MPG in 50.50 city/hwy mix Overall: 8/10

We just bought a HHR 2LT last night, to be picked up today. I love the 0%, it helped us get MUCH more car for our $$ without devaluing the car via a rebate. Our new HHR is/has; 1. Daytona Blue exterior 2. Medium Cashmere Cloth Seats (wife hates leather) 3. Roof rails 4. Running Boards 5. 5-speed 6. 17 inch high polished wheels 7. Cargo Mat 8. Sunroof 9. 260 watt Pioneer sound system 10. In-dash CD changer 11. more At 39,000 miles our little Cobalt has served us well in the past year, it was just too small and I wanted something with "luxury" options. It's kinda fun to have gotten the exact car on the front of the selling brochure.

I just ordered a cam for my 98 Grand Prix, it is supposed to add 40-55hp. I should be getting it in about a week, but wont be able to install it yet, because I'm also going to be buying an intercooler and want to install them both at the same time. I also have to wait until I get the cam install kit. I'll try to take some pictures during the installation. After the cam, intercooler, and 3.0 pulley, I should be close to 370hp. I can't wait Edited to add pictures

So I took a ride up to New Hampshire on Friday morning and this little guy followed me home: About three weeks ago or so now, on the way back from a junkyard with SpeedingPenguin, I spotted this thing sitting up at the road in front of a local garage. Being a fan of big tanks in general, and the Cadillacs of 1971 in particular (I love those separated quads; they make the car look ten feet wide!), I of course made it a point to stop and look at it, and I'm glad I did. The car has just about 103K on it, but was taken care of very well; the body has no rot really anywhere save for a tiny amount on the bottom of the rear quarters, and the black interior is perfect, save fo…

I had the opportunity to meet Rivieraranch and have dinner with his family while in South Florida about 3 weeks ago. Rivieraranch posts primarily in the Buick forum. It was a good time and meeting such nice people added to the vacation. His LaCrosse CXL is in the background. It is Cardinal Red Metallic with the neutral leather interior. The fit and finish is quite nice. In the foreground is my rented base level Grand Prix with the white exterior and black cloth interior. It is amazing to think these two cars have the same underpinnings and engine/transmission yet provide such completely different driving experiences. Look at the sawgrass, palm trees and lush vegeta…

Thought I'd chime in on this forum... here's my current vehicles. A 2003 Z71 Avalanche. Absolutly love this thing. I pull a 22' enclosed trailer with it during winter and does great. Here's my '68 Camaro. Bought it as a roller a summer ago. It's tore down right now and already rebuilt the front clip. Remember the GMC Syclone? Had this one for 4 years, sold it 5 years ago this month to build a house.

Washed it, and started to take off the pinstripping. For a while it was going off pretty easy but then the later parts were getting pretty tough to peal off so I'll have to get back out there and take another stab at it. I love the tint on the sides and rear window, still not sure if I want to keep that strip accross the front. Here's some pictures as it is now. I almost laughed when I got my liscense plates What do you guy's think of my center 'exhaust' (tow hitch, incase you can't see what I was refering to) Something I need to take care of That's if for now...

This is my 1988 GMC Sierra. It was my paps then he gave it to my Aunt and Uncle because he bought a 1994 Chevy Silverado. My Aunt and Uncle bought a 1997 Chevy Silverado and then gave the 88 to me. I did a lot of different things to it with my dad and the one was chainging the grill from a GMC to a Chevy. It has a 350 in it with Flathead Pistons and a high performance camshaft. Me and my dad just rebuilt the top end of the motor and it runs great!

As I've been saying for months, the Camaro (black, 3.8L Series II, A4 for those who are new) was going to get a makeover for spring break. Therefore, we've got pictures of before and after... What happened was all performance. GT2 Camshaft, Pushrods, 105 lb Valve Springs, Modified Steel LS1 Valve Retainers, 2 new valve keepers (lost 'em lol), ceramic-coated Pacesetter headers and y-pipe, 180 degree high-flowing thermostat, new plugs/wires, 3.72 gears, Zexel-Torsen Limited Slip Differential, 32mm front swaybar (vs. 28mm stock), and heavyduty endlinks for the swaybar. Coming soon is a new rear swaybar (it was given to me today; a V8 take-off, which is 18mm vs. my current …

Finally got some lowering springs installed this spring, ment to get these images up earlier but been waiting for some decent weather. The rear's not as low as I had hoped it would be but it doesn't look as 4x4 as it did before. The ride is certainly better, smoother, tighter I couldn't ask for more. And as promised here's a bonus that just happened today This happened right out in front of my house. I'm at my computer and I hear my alarm going off.. The last brand new GM vehicle my parents ever bought in Blue metallic was a 1993 Oldsmobile Achieva. My dad wanted a Grand Am but I thought the Achieva had a really nice interior and was more comfortable for all our super-long road trips we used to take as a family. Even thought I was only 14 I pretty much was allowed to pick the car we'd buy since I had my head burried in car magazines 24/7. I thought Quad4 was a redundant name and years later I grew to hate it for it's lack of power. The SOHC 115HP Quad4 pretty much sucked, even new. Never any usable torque. Anyway my parents had been talking about the posibility of trading their 1997 Grand Am in on a new car in the pa…

Today was a nice day so I decided I'd wash, clay bar, and wax the GTO with a new ICE product from Turtle Wax. The clay bar works wonders (I've used it before on our old LSS and it did wonders to it's paint), and the Ice worked really well. It's basically a wax, but it's clear and you just apply it, let it sit for 5 minutes, wipe the area and then buff the area, and it looks great. It's much easier than your traditional paste wax and looks just as good; we'll see how it holds up (it claims it lasts for 3-4 months). The sun was making it so damn shiny I had to wear sunglasses because my eyes weren't liking the bright light too much. Oh, if you can guess the license plates …

Not a big deal... but I still can't believe it happened already. I've worn a hole in my floor mat with my foot. Already. 25,000 km. It's about the size and shape of a small Swiss Army knife, and it's right where my right heel rests while I'm driving. The grey carpet is completely worn away, and I can see the white fabric underneath. Is this kind of thing covered under warranty?

Well, I finally traded off my 01 suburban yesterday. It had 187,245 miles on it when I dropped her off at the dealer. I put most of the miles on. My dad put on the first 30000 before I got it. What a great vehicle. That many miles and nothing but a new fuel pump, tires, and oil changes. (oh and a brief problem with the onstar, but it was warrantied) I traded up to a used 03 loaded with everything but DVD with about 80000 miles on it. I got a decent deal on it and I know the guy who owned it before me and he always takes great care of his vehicles. Its not my favorite color, pewter, but whatev. haha there are no pics of girls. Look how cute it looks in this RV space. awwwwww! Well I took it for a two hour drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It liked it. But I found out that there's a reason they call it the del Sol...I got a pretty sunburn on my shoulders. It was a pretty cool drive. I stopped at all of the overlooks. At one of them this old guy in a truck was looking at my car and goes "Hey that's a nice ride! What is it?" And that started a huge conversation. Also this old 1920's roadster honked at me. I just realized I've been a part of C%G since about 2 site crashes ago and I've never once posted pictures of my car except for in an older signature. This is my 2000 Buick Regal LSE... It is 2 items away from being the Regal I'd be completely happy with. #1 is the color is green instead of the preferred black and #2 is that it is alas an LSE as opposed to the GSE. That supercharged Buick engine is something I've always dreamed of being able to afford. Considering I'm a 22 y/o broke as Hell college student (well that is until May 4th when I finally graduate!) Couldn't help myself. After my dad so graciously bought the '93 Fleetwood Brougham for my brother and I to use as a "school car" ( ), I fell madly in love with that car and knew I would one day have one of my own. Well, as luck would have it, I stumbled upon a Medium Marblehead Metallic/Light Neutral '95 with 117k on it at a used car lot not far from our house via Autotrader (it was finals week...what else was I supposed to be looking at!?), and went to look at it. In a lot of aspects, it was even nicer than our primo '93, plus had all the best improvements they ever got (LT1 Vette engine, larger mirrors, etc.). Took me a couple weeks to really think it over, but I e…

Well, TAmmy and I were selling our 99 Z/28 because I was thinking about another classic car and I wasn't using the 99 as a daily driver, which is why we bought it. We found this... They gave us $7000 for our 99 which had a lot of miles on it and we argued them down to $14500 for the 71. As soon as I get a nice day around here that I don't have to work i will get some better pics of this one. Hmmm, looks like my website needs updating, AGAIN.

Hey all, my name's Ross, and this fine machine you see here is my 1996 Buick Riviera, also affectionately called The Egg by my family and friends. I was lucky enough to purchase this beautiful car in September of 2004 with just under 115,000 ticks on the clock for $2000 from a lady whose husband had passed away in May of that year. As a result of this loss, she wasn't financially able to keep two cars on the road any longer and opted to keep her husband's vehicle for obvious reasons. It's got a pretty strange choice of options when compared to other Rivieras of this generation. It's non-supercharged, sunroof-delete, and has no memory or heated seats or mirrors, ye…

BENTLEY Jaguar XKE (red leather interior) 1931 Model A Ford He had the Ford in high school and up until a few years ago. I always loved riding in the rumble seat, but it was prone to breakdowns. It has a feature installed that took advantage of the air intake system and by manipulating a little knob or lever, he could make it do a wolf whistle, or the regular kind (backwards wolf whistle). The Jag he had when he was in his mid 20s. He is a painter and traded one of his abstracts for that car. He was very popular with the ladies, or so he says, but with that car I believe it. The Bently I think he bought for about $15k, which even in the 70s was really cheap. It had …

hey guys, I just put a deposit on a white on tan 1995 Buick Riviera I found on Ebay, I test drove it today and it drove great. It is supercharged and has 64k miles on it. Okay... so rememebr how my buddy Sean owed me like $2600+ from our crazy roadtrip to No. Carolina when I sold his 1969 Camaro on eBay? Sept. 2005 Well, I finally tracked down that guy after gettig blown off for a few months. Long story short he's hurting for money and so I decided to take a vehicle of his as partial payment. I was really hoping he'd give me his 1986 Mercedes Benz 560SEC. It's a true pillarless hardtop! Well that did not happen. *DAMN* But I did get a scummy death-trap of a truck. It's a 1988 Chevy Blazer Silverado that's been riden hard and put away wet. I've had some rusted out, squeaky, dented & Carbon-monoxide spewing POS beaters in my day bu…

Here it is. Our 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 2wd. It has DVD, leather, 2nd row buckets, heated seats, 3rd row and an aftermarket Borla exhaust. Sorry about it being dirty. We haven't washed it yet.

Today I drove my grandpa's 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis he bought last summer. It's an LS Ultimate, which is the top of the line model. It's fully loaded with heated front seats, side airbags, standard wood trim and leather surfaces, power adjustable pedals, power moonroof....all the bells and whistles. *Note: Not the actual car, but exactly like it Inside, the dash may be a little dated looking compared to what's available today, but the materials and fit-and-finish were all pretty high quality. I really didn't find any hard plastics anywhere besides on the seat backs. The door handles all felt firm and solid and the doors closed with a nice thud. The wo…

So, yea...I washed my car today and decided to take some shots of it. I don't actually think I have psoted any shots of my car on here as a matter of fact. I am not a very good photographer. I know some of the shots are more or less the same, but I figured for the most part, those rear/side angles are probably the best sides of my car at the moment. I'm not too fond of my front end at the moment. I need newer angel eye headlights with the clear corners, and a new M5 bumper would be nice...All in due time though, so I decided to hold off taking too many pics of my front. Hopefully I'll be able to get a nice set of headlights before Bimmerfest in a couple months. So, with…

My friend recorded this a while ago, I've just been too lazy to convert it to DivX and upload it. But here it is now. http://media.putfile.com/Achieva-driving-around I had to use some trial version of a converting utility so that's why there's that filmstrip icon and the video got a bit skewed after the conversion but the quality is still there. *EDIT* Larger filesize but will be viewable without having to download Divx codec http://media.putfile.com/DeckasAchieva

Yup... It's time for some pics of the GA. I took them about a month ago. I just washed, waxed, and shined it up before I took them. Now for the basic rundown... It's a Spruce green matallic coupe with the 150hp Quad4 and 5spd. It's stock for the most part except for a few things. Currently, though, the headgaskets leak and it ticks. Nothing too serious as it is runable, just have to check the oil for water quite often and keep a close eye on the gauges. Other than that and the need for a new paint job, it's in excellent condition. It has 118,000 miles. I bought it around New Year's and I paid $1000 for it. The very few mods include: Clarion …

My wife bought this last week. One one of the last 05 V6 AWD Vues in Canada. Has the nice 17" tires too. Only option was the MP3 player. Very, very smooth Honda 3.5L DOHC V6. Sounds awesome too. First tank of gas got great mileage 8.7L per 100km or in english that means 26.9 US MPG (or 32.4 CDN mpg) City driving too. Can't wait to break it in a let her loose! :P Fastest FWD based SUV in the market---well 2nd fastest thanks to that 269hp RAV4  :AH-HA_wink: No real complaints--the window switches are placed oddly, no hatch release on the FOB (I don't think there is an interior one either) and the interior could be a bit better. Like the design but …

...and it's a 1979 Coupe DeVille painted its original "firethorn red" with a white leather interior, powered by a velvety-smooth 425 cubic inch Vee-8. In front of my house Close up That's right, I do in fact HEART vacations, paydays & weekends! He's almost pleasantly surprised that I'm goign along wiht such a crazy plan. I tell him I'm just surprised I did not get the idea first. I mean C'mon, it's a RED Cadill…

So I've been talking about buying a 1959 Buick of some sort for a couple months now. I'm dead set on doing it as soon as the Camaro goes off to a good home and as of last week I've made the first step towards completing this mission. I'm now the owner of 0.03% of a 1959 Buick. I bought a '59 Massachusetts License Plate from a classic car junkyard the other day. Set me back a cool $3.00 too. I was walking along with my buddy Ross and I glance at a 1950 Ford and notice a "59 MASS" plate on the back of it. It only took me about 20 minutes to get the damn thing off the back of the car since it was rusted on like a porthole on the Titanic. Now all I need is to bu…

Hey guys. I picked up a new car on Saturday. Now, some of you may know me well enough to guess what kind of car I'd buy, but I'm counting on it that most of you would have no clue. It'll keep you guys guessing while I wait for an opportune moment to take pics. All I'll tell you is that I stuck to my budget of less than $25,000. I'll post pics on Saturday or Sunday, shortly after I take them.

Well, I picked it up yesterday and the salesman seemed more pumped to hand me over this beast. He said it was the first one the dealership recieved so everyone was asking about the truck. Ive already used up about a 1/4 of a tank and have yet to really open it up to see how much power it has. . . but let me tell ya. . . the 5.3 I test drove has nothing on the 6.0. Im stilling in the process of finding new options that I never knew this truck had, like "curb view" option and such. It snowed about 2 inches last night so im going to put the AutoTrac thru it's paces to see how well it conects. So I should have some pics by tomorrow, I have a nice backdrop in…

A few weeks ago I submited a brief description of my car and some pics to the American Muscle Car Association wesite. By this morning when I checked my email I had almost forgoten all about it. I was shocked and quite pleasantly surprised to find a link to the story of my Camaro and a few photos posted on their homepage as a link under the title of "Feature Car Story, 1968 Camaro" Check it out. I'm so proud... now I'm famous for my burnout pic. in Car Craft and now my beloved Panther has been "featured" online! They spelled my name Sylvester (it's Silvester wiht an "i") but that's hardly worht mentioning. Click on t…

Since I've never told the whole story of my beloved S10 Blazer I thought it was about time I do so. Esp. with all the S10 hatin' going on around here as of late. :P It was a cool truck... gunmetal gray metallic, 4.3 liter V6, 2dr, loaded, 4x4 on the floor with 104,000 miles when I got it. If it had been an automatic I never would have looked twice at it. I was in the market for a truck, but I wanted a BEATER truck. I wanted someones scummy throwaway beater S10, the ONLY requirement was that it would be a 5-speed. My buddy John Morris was going to sell me his 280,000 mile 88 S-10 P/U. It was a 4-cylinder (iron duke) extra-cab longbed with a manual transmission. It h…

Guess what 2006 GM vehicle this is off of: [attachment=95:attachment] [attachment=96:attachment] It's my new 2006 G6 GT with all the trimmings. Yes the 2003 Grand Am GT went bye-bye for the G6 and the the G6 is sooooooo much nicer to drive than the GA. I'll take better shots tomorrow in the light. It's a Crimson Red GT with the Leather package (taupe), Panoramic sunroof, remoter start, power pedals, wing, chrometech wheels... Good deal when the GM Card double the rebate from $1000 to $2000. I leased it for three years like the 2003 GA. I'll let you know how it goes, but it is definetely geared better than the GA and feels …
