Made a stop at the local Wal-Mart last night and made a detour down the toy aisle to see if anything new was on the racks. Not much on the HW's racks, but found this 1984 Pontiac Grand Prix metallic green "stunt car" on the last peg I checked behind a couple of older releases. Enjoy!!

http://luxurydiecast.com Offering 1:43 diecast in the following GM vehicles: Escadlade Hybrid, Chevrolet Suburban, Cadillac CTS-V, Cadillac Converj (check the website for pictures) I found the Presidential Limo (2009 Cadillac DTS-modifed) at Wal-Mart in August for $14.99; seen it at hobby stores and some car show vendors before that for $29.99 and up. I've also seen the Presidential Suburban and CIA Suburban in person, again at $29.99 but didn't bite. They first entered the market with the Limo, then the Suburbans. The rest (CTS-V, Escalade, Converj) are all recent intro's.

Here's the description as printed in the July issue of Hemmings (picture from my Droid phone): From the publisher's webpage (http://coachbuiltpress.com/bookpage-artandcolour.html): $100, hardbound, check the link above for some pictures. Haven't seen it in person yet, but will be on the lookout, though being unemployed right now $100 is too much for me.

Not really a current GM merchandise, as I picked this up a couple years ago as a goof. So, as I mentioned in another thread, I have a remote control 1973 Pontiac Bonneville coupe (for some reason I was thinking it was a Catalina before). I picked this up at either Target or Walmart because I would have considered the 1973 Bonneville to be about the LAST GM car ANYONE would make a toy out of. No offense to fans of the '73... its just not as iconic as, say, 50 or 70 other GM models. Unfortunately, it is a donked remote with a wired remote control. Cheesy. It also has a crazy dragon sticker on the sides. The poor thing was all by itself, and I felt bad. Since its actually …

I stopped by my local Wal-Mart for some car cleaning supplies and made a detour down the toy aisle before leaving. Here's what I saw today: Blister package Johnny Lightnings ($2.00 each): 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe (missing the hood, has a blower on top of the engine) 1931 Cadillac Cabiolet (new issue #4 in blue, older issue #3 green) 1965 Chevy Impala SS 1981 Chevy Malibu Coupe (two-tone brown over beige) 1950 Chevy Suburban (restoration needed) Hot Wheels Delivery Vehicle Series ($3.97 each): 1959 Chevrolet Panel Delivery/Hurst 1959 Cadillac Funny Car/Rower King of Cars 1956 Chevrolet Nomad Delivery/Milodon

I've tried looking online for any new GM-related diecasts from Johnny Lightning, Matchbox, and Hot Wheels (to name a few) with no luck. So I'm calling on our expert in this area, OldsGuy (and anyone else "in the know"), if you've heard about, read, or saw something online indicating what GM-related diecast collectibles will be issued in 2010 to please post here. TIA!

To the best of my knowledge, Hot Wheels is the only model manufacturer that has all but one Monte Carlo generation depicted in some way, shape or form ... and I now have at least one of each generation! Pics are not the best, though.... 1st Gen (1970)... 2nd gen (1973-5)... 3rd gen (1980)... 4th gen (1987)... Next generation (Intimidator Concept, 1999 ... for 2000+ models)... Group... Other models, MC and otherwise, are here: http://www.chevyasylum.com/cort/collection/collection.html'>http://www.chevyasylum.com/cort/collection/collection.html MC posters/brochures are here: http://www.chevyasylum.com/cort/posters/posters.html'>…

The picture above was taken at my BPG dealership this past Sunday. They've had these flags out there for atleast a year, if not longer. Does anyone know where these flags can be ordered from? I've tried Pontiac Mall and the similar GMC website with no luck. I'd like to get the Pontiac flag ASAP if possible, as I think current GM-licensed Pontiac collectibles may be hard to come by once the lights are turned off at Pontiac. I will definitely ask my dealership when I take the wife's G6 in for service next time if no one here has any leads for me. I figured I'd ask here first :AH-HA_wink:

Won it at a Christmas party last night. Jada Toys has this concept and the new Camaro as part of their "big time muscle" remote control cars. It's a good size remote control car, and brings back lots of memories. Plus, it's fun to chase my dog with it...he's 50 lb collie/chow mix and scared to death of the thing...ha ha

Link: http://www.cadillaccollection.com/itemdetails.aspx?productID=2138 - Same deal as the 2009 GMC ornament I posted earlier, a 6-piece minimum is required and these are going for $17 too (w/o S&H costs). Hopefully there will be some interest in the Caddy ornament, as I'd like to get one of these too. (*And yes, I checked the other divisions and only the GMC & Cadillac ornaments are being produced)

On a whim this morning I decided to check out www.gmccollections.com to see if anything new was listed for the holidays. I found this: 2009 GMC 1960 1000 Series Truck Ornament Link: http://www.gmccollection.com/itemdetails.aspx?productID=2137 While being offered at a reasonable $17 each, the site is requiring you to order a minimum of 6 pieces (costing $102 w/o S&H). I'd jump for it right now, but can't swing that amount. I sent an e-mail to my Buick-GMC dealership's parts dept to see if they are planning to order these for resale.

I thought this was a great product because I ride a Mountain Bike, but if you run, walk, jog, or are even out on a kayak etc, and something should happen to you, RoadID gives 1st responders immediate information about you, should you be involved in an accident or some type of medical emergency. Give it a look, if it works for you, then I'm glad I could help. Link: http://www.roadid.com/Common/default.aspx

Picked up this years Hallmark ornaments this weekend... The Classic American Cars Series was a T-bird. The All American Trucks Series was a yellow SSR. And... a no series ornament this year is the Corvette Stingray Concept (also known as Sideswipe). There is no Transformers tie-in with this, so this may be the first semi-realistic rendering of this car.

First several repaints, and notice they removed the blown engine from the bed of the El Camino, and replaced with a tonneau. The blue Camaro is from the mystery car packs, so good luck with that one.

After getting an e-mail from the Franklin Mint about a limited-edition, web-exclusive Mercedes gullwing diecast model, I decided to check out their website to see if any new GM models were available. While disappointed that the offerings have been trimmed, they do have the following for sale: 1955 Pontiac Star Chief Hardtop Coupe (in two colors): 1957 Chevy Bel Air "Fuelie": 1956 Chevy Cameo Pickup: I'm particularly interested in the '56 Cameo, as this is the first time a 1956 model is being offered (Franklin Mint has done the '55 Cameo and Danbury Mint offers the '57 Cameo). Now hopefully DM offers a '58, as they have both the stepside and fleetside…

Had to make a run to Blockbuster tonight for my step-son (needed to exchange his GamePass game), and there's a Toys R Us right next door in the shopping center. I promised the little guy a new Hot Wheels track add-on (launcher), and upon entering the diecast aisle I see new Hot Wheels cars on the pegs. I look through and find the following: 1970 Chevelle SS Wagon (2009 New Models, #19/42); 1968 Oldsmobile 442 (Muscle Mania, #06/10); Custom V-8 Vega (2009 New Models, #23/42) (see attached pictures for each) I bought the Chevelle SS Wagon & Olds 442 and passed on the Vega, as I'm not a big fan of them.

I picked one up the other day for my son. It has a '59 Eldorado, '67 Camaro, '67 GTO, C6 Corvette and a stupid gold Hummer H2. Here is the same thing on eBay for $9.50+$5.79s/h. I got mine at Wal-Mart for $4.97. The GTO and 'Vette may be taken away from my son and put in my office. I also got him a Matchbox 5-pack with a classic Mini Cooper that I plan on stealing from him.

At the prestigious Detroit Auto Show on December 21, 2007 Chevrolet officially announced the 2009 Corvette ZR1 - an American supercar that brings the technology and engineering refinement of carbon-fiber, ceramics and electronics together in a distinctive design. The ZR1 is instantly recognizable, with perhaps the most identifiable feature a raised, all-carbon-fiber hood that incorporates a clear, polycarbonate window. The window provides a view of the top of the engine's intercooler, with the legend "LS9 SUPERCHARGED" embossed on the left and right sides, and an engine cover with the Corvette crossed flags logo debossed at the front. Jada Toys, makers of popular diecas…

Legendary GM Magazine - Premier Issue (July/August 2008) At the 2008 All-GM Nationals car show on Saturday, June 21, I saw a tent advertising the above magazine. At first I mistook it for GM High Performance magazine; taking another look before walking away, I realized the name was new to me and the cover (shown above) stood out in a postive way. I asked the lady behind the table if this is a brand new magazine and she replied "yes". A quick-flip through of the magazine and I was hooked. I decided to try out a one-year subscription, being offered at a reduced show rate, and got to walk away with the premier issue as an added bonus (everyone that subscribed did, not …
