By William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com March 3, 2013 Bentley has unveiled the new 2014 Flying Spur before its introduction at the Geneva Motor Show this week. We got a sneak peek at the Flying Spur thanks to a leak a couple weeks ago and the shots put out by Bentley match the leak shots. While the 2014 Flying Spur has a similar profile as the outgoing model, Bentley gave the new model some new design cues to make more aggressive. There is more upright face, arched fenders, new roofline, and a set of horizontal taillights. Inside the Flying Spur, Bentley has made sure this no shortage of luxury and technology appointments. By William Maley Staff Writer - CheersandGears.com March 1, 2013 After someone leaked out the photos of the Toyota FT-86 Open Concept last night, Toyota has gone ahead and released the information about it before its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week. The FT-86 Open Concept is pretty much the current Toyota GT86/Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ with the roof cut off. The Open Concept shares almost the same sheet metal as the coupe. The roof is a multi-layer fabric top with a glass window that folds away behind the rear seats.Inside, the FT-86 Open Concept retains the 2+2 layout and gets a 'unique' color palate that includes white and blue leather, and yellow carp…

Well Volkswagen has delivered a vehicle that can do better; returning 261 MPG on the European cycle or 0.9 liters per 100 kilometers. That vehicle is the new Volkswagen XL1. The XL1 is a very unique vehicle for many reasons besides the impressive fuel economy. For starters, the XL1's structure is a carbon fiber monocoque, with aluminum front and rear crash structures bolted to it. Body pan…

A few weeks before this year's Geneva Motor Show, Alfa Romeo has pull back the curtain on the production 4C. Geneva 2009: Aston Martin revives Lagonda to questionable effect Comebacks are a tough racket, so when Aston Martin announced plans to revive the Lagonda nameplate, we tempered our high hopes with a fair amount of skepticism. Perhaps that's a good thing. These first images of the Lagonda caused a collective sigh from the Autoblog crew here in Geneva, perhaps largely because it takes the form of a crossover – something we weren't really expecting (and something we don't typically associate with either Lagonda or Aston). The Lagonda's return marks the 100th anniversary of the brand, best known for stately sedans and luxurious grand-tourers. Aston wanted an outlet to…

2008 Bentley Brooklands Autoblog Bentley describes its new Brooklands coupe that's being unveiled right now in Geneva as a "grand touring coupe with classic British proportions." Yes, it certainly has classic British proportions if by that Bentley means it's as big as Britain itself. The new 2+2 coupe by the boys and girls from Crewe is named after the famed Brooklands banked race track in Surrey, England where Bentley made a name for itself in motorsports during the 1920s. The Brookland's got a classic Bentley face, a modern profile (check out the fender vents!) with B-pillarless side glass and massive 20-inch wheels that shine with a mirror finish. The interior fea…

Geneva may be one of continental Europe's premier venues for automobile manufacturers, but its not a show that garners the same lust and attention for us that American shows do. Most of the cars typically launched at Geneva are from European marques and intended for Europe anyway. However, recently, Geneva has been the release point for several cars that should pique interests wordwide, such as the Rolls-Royce 101EX, BMW Z4 coupe, SAAB's Aero-X, and the Dodge Hornet. Many of these 'world cars' do end up stateside or are simply interesting. Geneva's significance for GM this year (so far) seems to revolve around the possible European launch of the Chevy HHR and what is pos…

Could this be the upcoming Dodge roadster concept that was set to debut in Geneva? An alert Allpar.com forum member named "73PlymouthDuster" happened to stumble across this image on a Dodge website that is selling artwork prints: http://dodge.artehouse.com/perl/collection...f58de6dcba3bc05 EDIT: Oops, I guess this should really be in the Geneva Show section, or the Dodge "Other Guys" section. Mods, feel free to move it to where you see fit, but I don't think anyone will be looking in the Geneva Show section just yet.
