Well, I'm back, with my first GM vehicle in a long time, though my home garage also has a Dodge, a Chrysler, 3 Volvos, a Jaguar, and a Land Rover (not all of them run, and 4 are project vehicles, and one is a rusted out basket case I'm trying to sell the engine out of). The solitary GM vehicle that I just added is a 50 year old running project vehicle. When I joined C&G, I was living in Australia. I moved to Canada in 2008, and have been living in rural Nova Scotia with my Canadian wife of 17 years, for 11 years. I'm a few months away from turning 70, and indulging in items from my bucket list. My latest GM acquisition has been on my bucket list for ove…

I cut my teeth on GMInsideNews for a little, but grew bored w/ the constant griping about the inevitable EV future. Been a car nut since I got my first Hot Wheel as a child and as an adult have owned cars across multiple brands...meaning, I'm not a brand fanatic but if you put a gun to my head and made me choose...I'd pick McLaren as my favorite make. Looking forward to some healthy discussion. Cheers

I'm a newbie here, seen a link to this site on the net and thought I would check it out. I'm in Illinois (-16 degrees outside as of this post), I like long walks on the beach while listening to some Bob Marley with lots of girls flocking to my side (though none of that has ever happened). Anyway, see you on the forum

Deq told me about this place, so I thought that I would check it out. I see some familiar faces here, so they already know who I am. For those that don't, I'm the Korean Cowboy. I used to be on the AWCC and was a MT Mod for about 4.5 years, before moving on to CF Blog as a writer and starting my own FB Group. I currently reside in Las Vegas, NV with my wife, dog, and soon to be either a boy or a girl (she doesn't want to know for some bizarre reason LOL). I work in the gaming industry as a ECM Webmaster, and in my spare time, play blackjack professionally. Hopefully I can carve out some time to spend on here, and I'm looking forward to getting to know ever…

The Burg is here! I'm an old forum hound going back to the days of yore, from the legendary AWCC! Can't wait to reconnect with many of you! So I now work for an awesome dealership called Auto Lenders. Strictly pre-owned vehicles, all brands, absolutely no manufacturer affiliations at all. We get everything from uber-exotics to run-of-the-mill stuff. I was recruited away from Nissan after 3 years there and am now a buyer for my company. I get paid to buy cars!!! HOW COOL IS THAT!!!! This might be a shock to some, and a "meh" to others, but Car Fanatics is shutting down its forum. It got so quiet over there that even the crickets left - but now I see so…

One is showroom condition with 16k miles (medium sand gray metallic with sand gray interior), One is in excellent condition with 67k miles (black on black with sand gray leather interior), and the other is in very good condition and is a work in progress (light fern gray metallic). All three are all original in and out with the Oldsmobile 307. I Look forward to learning from the incredible amount of knowledge and experience there appears to be here. Hello! I'm Texas8709, Tex, Blackstallion, whatever you want to call me. I had an account at MT for while, cancelled that to focus on school (just transferred to a new university), and now that I'm ready to do some foruming again I've heard everyone is coming here. A little about me: I currently split my time between Austin and San Antonio working for a design and automation company. I graduated from the University of Texas, with a degree in Mechanical engineering. My current vehicle is a 2013 f150 FX4, with the 5.0. As far as modifications, it has 2" leveling spacers, 305/55 Nitto Terra Grapler tires (33" tall) on the factory 20" wheels (I'd like throw on some…

Hey everyone, count me among the number of MT posters who are fed up with the software and trolling. I work in the auto industry (have for 8 years) and have pretty much loved cars (and bikes, planes, pretty much anything that you go fast in or on) since before kindergarten. I'm a really big GM, BMW, and Porsche fan, but I'm open-minded and just love cars in general. I've owned Audi, VW, Honda, Pontiac, Jeep, Nissan, Dodge, Chrysler, Chevy, Hyundai, and currently own a 1994 BMW 318i, a 2005 Scion xB, and just traded my 2009 335i for a 2014 4Runner Trail Edition. I've tracked and/or driven hard virtually every sports car I've owned, and even some that weren't sports…

I'm part of a number of forums, primarily it's been Motor Trend because they have a great community and sometimes folks from the magazine join in. Unfortunately, the quality of the site software has been plummeting for about two years now and it's just not tolerable anymore. I'm a Chevy guy with a general love for domestic metal. I drive a regular-old Malibu and I like it quite a bit. It does have the V6 "performance" package with the high-output (port injected) 3.6L DOHC V6, hydraulic power steering, tapshift, and 18 inch wheels. I've lightly modded the car so it's making around 270 hp and tq (at the crank) with a 7000 rpm redline and it runs low/mid 14s. I tuned it …

Another one of the M/T boys. The list would be too long if I were to post the other forums I've been a part of. My vehicles are kind of out there to most car enthusiasts, but nonetheless provide a smile to my face. They are: -06 Volvo V50 T5 AWD 6M (DD) -96 Ford Ranger I4 RWD 5M (My baby) -68 Ford F-100 Ranger 351W RWD 3M w/ OD (Why did I ever buy this expensive project) All are a shade of red. Anyways, I consider myself a general car guy, that prefers Fords. Ask me anything about a Ranger, I know them in and out. I was into car audio back in high school/college, but my interest has waned from it. I'm a diesel technician, currently working on med…

I'm a bit late to the party but I'm the latest arrival from Motor Trend forums. I'm just looking for a quiet place to post stuff without World War III breaking out. Oh, and if the software will let me post and update all new posts that would be a bonus. For those who don't know me, I'm a GM guy who plays footsies with Mopar. I currently have an example of each in my garage. While I have no issues with brand preference, I consider fanbois to be a plague roughly equivalent to locusts or syphillis. I have no idea how frequent a contributor I'll be because my work schedule is a but hectic and goofy. Anyways, thanks for having me. So there ya go.

Copied and pasted from my post in Motor Trend forums, to be honest: I'm a salesman (just in case no one had figured that out), currently selling cars, but I've sold furniture, electronics and appliances, ran a meat department for a Wal-Mart, and done quotations, purchasing and sales for a machine shop, among other things. I'm a vet, spent 5 years active duty in the US Army as a psychological operations specialist, and though I was lucky enough to not be sent overseas during the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, my work was used to try and save the lives of those that were deployed there. I like to read (and write, too, though I've not had the guts to submit anythin…

Hi, guys! For those of you that don't know, I also come from MT. I used to post there all the time, but with the constant trolling and terrible forum software, I rarely post there anymore. I am mainly a Ford guy, but not as much as I used to be. Still love the Taurus, though. I have a 97 with 219k miles and we also have a 2013. A 1998 F-150 and 1989 LeBaron also resides in out fleet. I say "we" because I am 19 and don't actually own any of these lol. I've been posting at MT since I was 14 and I've always resisted leaving, but I guess it's finally time to move on. I'm sure I'll still check in from time to time, though.

Hey guys/gals, I'm new to the cheers and gears thing but I've been around a few forums. Until recently I was only on vehicle specific sites(STLMustangs, MBWorld, and FordEscape.org). If you didn't already assume I've owned a mustang(2 actually. 2004 GT and 2003 Mach1), a 2006 MB c350, and currently own a 2013 Escape 2.0 AWD. In there somewhere I owned a 2003 Focus SVT but I was never part of a forum. My first car was a 1995 Chevy Beretta Z26..ans it's still in the fmaily as my brother drives it now. I'm also a member of bobistheoilguy forum and MotorTrend. I was actually invited over here from one of te MT guys. I looked around a bit and figured i'd give it a shot. Th…

Well, here is my first post, an introduction. I have an avid interest in cars, thanks to my husband of 27 years. I picked up a lot of first-hand knowledge by being his right-hand helper. We currently own a 1957 Cadillac. It has been quite the experience to restore this vehicle, while maintaining the integrity of the original features. Our latest project involves the restoration of the interior by Fleetwood. Unfortunately, we could not save the front seat backrest. On a good note, we saved all of the backseat and the door-skins looks great. I look forward to "meeting" other antique car owners. At the same time, I find it fascinating to learn about the new vehicles …

Hi it's Z here. Feel Free to call me Esh though! My family have been car nerds for awhile now, mostly on the older japanese side of things to be honest. Our current cars include a stock 1993 Nissan 240SX, a 1999 VolksWagen Jetta Wolfsburg (Mine!), and my dad's hidden jewel, a 1984 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE stored away in the garage. Hopefully it will be nice to meet you all here! Seems like a pretty nice community at first glance!

From downunder, have a Holden V8 with some interesting mods. I travel from my beach home in QLD at sea level across outback highways through snowy alpine regions and long sections of unrestricted, flat road to work in in Barossa Valley (wine country). 2800km trip, and back, twice a year. I stumbled across this forum last night, specifically Dwight's take on small block Chev efficiencies. This is my hobby too, having read several white papers on EIVC / LIVC combustion phasing, injection pattern / timing, high compression and ethanol burn. Car is a Commodore Series II Sportwagon, 6.0 flex fuel engine (L77), ECU controlled continuously variable cam phasing, variable comp…

A big southern Hello from the plateau of Middle TN. I am retired from computer tech and security, most recently as an instructor and ethical hacker. My wife and I are/were gear heads since our teen years. Quite a bit of hands on experience with muscle cars, Lotus Esprit, Maserati Mistral and a host of other US cars. We owned an IHRA sanctioned dragstrip and did very well with it for several years. Since retirement, we have settled in middle TN. I built a small garage last year and it allows me to do most of my own maintenance on the cars, house, and enjoy other hobbies such as stained glass, paper making and Ham radio. Look forward to a great time here, an…

Hello everyone, I'm happy to have stumbled across this community as it seems to be a great place to chat about my passion: cars. Unfortunately, for now, I'm stuck driving a 2006 Peugeot 206 , but I'll be looking at upgrading to a newer car by this time next year. I've always driven small cars and I continue to prefer them to the gas guzzling trucks because they're fairly cheap, easy to drive, burn little fuel and they're easy to park.

It's sitting on north of 400whp depending on how hard I push it via tuning. Speaking of which, that is one thing that I do for a living. I tune any GM vehicle with hptuners and I absolutely love doing it. If you guys have any questions about the car or in general, feel free to ask!

Hey everyone, how's it going? I've just registered here and thought I should introduce myself a little bit, and since this is a car forum, tell you what I drive. I am quite young (19), and have just recently got my driving license, so I'm not driving anything fancy but it's great for me. I drive a VW Golf Mk. 2, and it's a 1.6 diesel (non-turbo, sadly). It's fast enough for my needs and I love it, I'll post pictures if anyone wants a bit later since it's too late now to be taking photos.

Hi. My namre is James. I'm huge fan of cars trucks and motorcycles (boats as well. If it has an engine...). I have been part owner in a detail shop and owner of a small used car dealership. In my detail shop I did interiors and exteriors (including buffing), interiror repairs (cloth, leather and vinyl) and windsheild repairs. In my dealership I was a one man operation so I did it all. I miss trying to find deals at the auctions. James

My father taught me how to tune up a car and change the oil. He just passed away earlier this year. He loved cars as well, that is probably where I got it. Me and my brother have taught ourselves how to repair almost anything on a car over the years. We did this thanks to the excess of information that can be found online. Me and my brother converted a 92 mustang from auto to manual transmission. We also took the 4 cylinder out of a 93 mustang and put in a 5.0 liter. We both graduated from a 2 year course on "Automotive Collision …

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. From the Cleveland area here. Just started driving again, after not being able to for quite some while due to health issues. I'm currently still driving a 2005 Ford Escape, but may be in the market soon for a newer vehicle. I will admit, it is kind of nice not making car payments these past couple of years though since I paid it off.

Hey guys, im Bknight or just Bk on the webs, im deeply into the automotive scene since it's one of my biggest passions, I kinda love everything about the car world, be it high end cars, or just a simple all day car, I'm a special fan of Ford, Opel, Renault, BMW, and Lamborghini, since those are my fav brands, I'm always trying to be up to date regarding any news on them, and I hope to share all types of news/knowledge here, from consumption, usage review (of course only in all day cars, since I can't afford high end models (yet, I hope, lol)), upcoming models, maintenance issues, all you can think of, if it's car related then it's Bk related. Cheers to all!

Mule Bakersdozen LS here-logged on and shocked to find my old password worked-nice to see C&G still alive and kicking in the AutoBlog/etc. age! How's everybody? Been working at Dunkin' Donuts in eastside suburban Rochester, NY for almost 5 years, got my permit re-tested/back after dragging my feet for years, slowly snagging our 2002 Buick Century Custom w/Special Edition to drive at least once a week and still biking it! Always wanted to style/design GM or Chrysler cars/trucks, but think I eventually want to be a salesperson at a dealer and go into Product Planning instead, and from what I've seen from GM as of late, they NEED it!

Well I'm new here, made the account ages ago but finally decided to be active with it recently. I live on (in, however you see fit lol) Long Island, NY and my lovely GM vehicle of choice is the old reliable (sometimes) Chevy Malibu, year 2002 LS trim =). Hope to be apart of this site a while lot more.

Hello everyone! My name is Tyler Lipa I am 23 years old and a student at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. I have always been passionate about cars, but not in the way you think. I'm not into roaring V8's or luxury cars that push the price point into the stratosphere, but I love high MPG and light weight cars. Diesel engines, hybrids and alternative fuels stir my soul like nothing else. Since 2008 I have been building a network of friends and fellow enthusiasts on Twitter via my personal handle: @talipa2012 Even though I love fuel efficiency and alternative fuels I love to learn from everyone who shares a passion for cars. I am currently working towards a B.A. i…

Hello, everyone. My name is Tyson. I was encouraged to join the forums here after lamenting the loss of one of my old car forum homes on my Twitter page. I drive a 2008 Mazda3 S Touring hatchback, which I purchased in August of 2009 with 12,200 miles. As it sits today, it has 55,350 miles. I love it just as much today as I did the day I purchased it. I've always been into cars, even as a toddler. I had plenty of action figures and such but all I ever wanted to play with was toy cars. The more realistic they were, the better. I got my driver's license in May of 2006 and the obsession has continued to grow since. My first car was a base model 1992 Chevrolet Beretta with th…

Hello everyone. I came across this site while searching for some Suzuki Kizashi info, and you had a great review posted. This seems like a great site, and I'm glad to be a member. My current ride is a 2012 Suzuki Kizashi GTS AWD, and I think I'm in love with my car. I live in Pittsburgh, and I just can't stop thinking about a little snow coming our way, and me in the local parking lot doing donuts. I've been a Suzuki owner on and off, this being my fourth "genuine" Zuk (no Dawoos here). I had a X-90, followed by an SX4 AWD (my wife still has one), and now the Kizashi.

So, I was going through my internet history, sifting through all the random porn and stuff, and I noticed this website showed up. After a little digging, it turns out that I have an account here and used to be fairly active. So please, inform me of just who exactly you people are and why you stole all those years of my internet activity that could have been used for better purposes... like porn! Now that I've made a semi-stupid classic introduction, I can apologize in advance for what I'm going to say next. I bought a Toyota... Now that I've also gotten that out of the way, I just have to say hello. So, "Hello." How have you all been?

I'm kinda new, and kinda old. I use to work for GM but went to work for BMW. I left GM this past summer, but because of my non-compete clause, I did not officially start with BMW until October 1, 2011. Did you notice that soon after I got to BMW, how GM and BMW started making goo goo eyes at each other? Coincidence, I think not, it's all part of my charm ... I hope you didn't miss me too much ...

Couple of guys told me I oughta join and possibly share what I can with you guys! Current Owner of: *1993 Eagle Vision ESi Before Current @ Dragon's Tail. (Borrowed my buddies 300M Rims for the weekend) No where fast, but deadly on the curves. Eagle has seen several Auto crosses and Road Atlanta. Nearing on 200,000 miles and driving strong. And recent Acquirement *1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2wd 155,805 miles Needs Headliner and new Tires, and possibly a Transmission. Otherwise Good to go with a uber clean interior and decent paint and clear coat still! (impressive for Chrysler) Even with only having 2wd it is way more capable of harsh road conditio…

Hello Everyone, I am just your average everyday motor head. nothing special. I have been following the stories for some time and finally got around to joining in. I am usually bad at forums but will try to stop by and say something when I can. In general I am a motor sports junkie and follow just about everything on wheels except a few well known series. Formula One is my big love. When it comes to cars, I am big fan of pre-WWII machines and the late 60's muscle cars. Even a few in between.

Hi all, I'm not really a new member, but it has been a few years since I've been active on this forum. Thought I would use my first post back to reintroduce myself to the group. My name is Jason and I'm from the western suburbs of Chicago. My current vehicle is a Carbon Black Metallic 2007 GMC Acadia SLE AWD that I purchased new in March 2007 and currently has only 32,500 miles on it. I bolted up some Bazo Forged 20" wheels and tires and an aftermarket grill set to make it stand out from the crowd a bit. My wife also is a GM owner, purchasing a Quicksilver 2009 Traverse LT a little over 2 years ago. Since leaving this group, I've spent alot of time initially ov…

Hello C&G, My name is Ryan and I'm a hardcore Mopar/Dodge nut with a particular weakness for the 1996-1999 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight and LSS. I'm no stranger to forums, and one of the staff members here, Dodgefan, is a friend of mine from a forum where I am a staff member, LHForums.net, which covers the Dodge Intrepid/Chrysler Concorde/Chrysler LHS/Chrysler 300M/and the Eagle Vision. I own two Dodge Intrepids with a ton of mods done to each of them. However, I'm not here to talk about Mopars or my Intrepids, I'm here to talk about my Olds and my particular love for the Eighty Eight. My 1999 Olds Eighty Eight LS is my winter warrior, and with 174k miles on the body a…

Hey guys, I am a computer system admin by day and a advid car fan by night. Currently a college student and drive a beastly Buick LeSabre! Which I might post a topic about in a different thread. I generally like to read about happening things in the auto market and like abstract car fourms rather than mainstream stuff since I like to hear about major things not that Kia is using a different chemical in there craptastic bumpers like some car news/fourms seem to post about. anyway Hello!

Good evening everyone. I was introduced to this website last night, checked it out a little and thought it would be fun to join. So, here I am! I am currently living in NJ, and am pretty enthusiastic about cars. I do not know as much about cars as I'd like, but I spend a lot of time reading my Motor Trend, and any and all websites that have to do with cars, and news about car companies. This is the first forum I have ever joined, so I look forward to learning how they work and exploring! I have a 1929 Willy's Knight, It was my grandfathers car. My uncle was trying to sell it, but I told him I wanted it. Now it is mine! Too bad I don't know much about maintaining an old …

Any one seen the Chrysler Challenger commercial about the "Car People" ? Is this a slap in the face of GM or what?
