Kia: Minivan Announcement Coming This Year, Quoris Coming Next Year

The folks at Automotive.com got their hands on some interesting information concerning what's in store for Kia.

We'll start with the Quoris, Kia's large, RWD flagship sedan. We've been hearing that this model would be coming to the U.S., but a date hasn't been given. Until now. According to a Kia offical, the Quoris is expected to arrive on our shores sometime next year. The Quoris was expected to come sooner, but with Kia introducing seven refreshed models this year, the decision was made to push it off next year.

Also in the cards is a minivan. Kia brought back the 2012 Sedona as a 2014 model with some new features and emissions equipment. But the current Sedona is going on eight years and is desperate for a replacement. Reportedly, Kia was working on a new minivan that took some ideas from the 2011 KV7 concept. However, problems have arisen.

When asked about what the future holds for the Sedona, a spokeperson said “Wait ’til the end of the year” for an announcement about it.

I think the boat sailed on them selling mini vans. This is a die hard group that most have settled on the 3 main contenders, Chrysler, Honda and Toyota other wise everyone wants CUV's.

Those for CUV's please form one line, o'h wait this is not an iPhone version.

    • I'm coming back to this thread and post above after having written it a year ago.  I didn't see a thread on the new Camry. I parked next to one of these units today.  Everything above pretty much stands.  The way I noticed it is that it said Toyota and that the rear sail panel looked "acceptable" ... it didn't shout old Caprice or Impala coupe. The front lamps are nicer but what's below them is not. The stupid diagonal in the console is gone!  Everything looks more normal in the front of the cabin, even though there are a lot of horizontal slats everywhere. Looking back, I really liked that Honda Accord hybrid I was assigned as a rental unit at a South Florida airport and which I reviewed.  If Honda did a good job with it, I'm sure Toyota will, too.
    • Wow, forget the Kia Boys, seems Subaru web flaws is much worse. https://www.wired.com/story/subaru-location-tracking-vulnerabilities/
    • I can't imagine there is much of a market in the US for a $100k KN EV van...I know there is the whole 'van life' thing, but that is a small group of 'lifestyle influencer' wankers on TikTok/YouTube, etc.  At least the VW ID Buzz has the brand history and heritage going for it.
    • I’ll find Jimmy Hoffa before you find a successful “lifestyle” van market in this country and I am a van fan from way back. However, like station wagons, that is beyond a tough sell in this country. At least VW had the good sense to give theirs hope by giving it some style. All the great tech in the world doesn’t change that fact for the Kia. Again, that thing is hideous regardless of the lifestyle choice lol.
    • @surreal1272 You are right that style is personal, but if you look at the full picture, a 400V slow ID-Buzz versus 800V versatile van, Kia is winning here imho. I get the VW history But this is very appealing as a lifestyle Van also plus the superior tech.
