Jaguar Land Rover Reports U.S. Sales for December and Full Year 2015

  • Jaguar Land Rover U.S. December sales increase 30 percent for best December sales month ever
  • Land Rover up 47 percent for December driven by strong performance of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport; making it the best U.S. sales month ever
  • Jaguar Land Rover 2015 full year U.S. sales increase to 85,048 units, a 26 percent increase from 67,238 units in 2014
  • For full year 2015, Land Rover brand increases 37 percent to establish a new U.S. annual sales record of 70,582 units.
  • The Jaguar F-TYPE up 13 percent for the year

(MAHWAH, NJ) - January 5, 2016 - Jaguar Land Rover North America today reported December 2015 U.S. sales: Land Rover sales reached 8,441 units, a 47 percent increase from 5,754 units in December 2014; Jaguar sales were 1,197 units, down 29 percent from 1,683 units in December 2014. Jaguar Land Rover North America December U.S. sales for both brands hit 9,638 units, a 30 percent increase from 7,437 units in December 2014.

 

For the full year 2015, Jaguar Land Rover U.S. sales were up 26 percent with 85,048 units sold compared to 67,238 units sold in 2014. Land Rover brand U.S. sales reached a new all-time high of 70,582 units, an increase of 37 percent and surpassing last year's sales of 51,465 units.  Due to new model changeover, Jaguar U.S, sales were down 8 percent with 14,466 in 2015 versus 15,773 units in 2014.

 

"2015 was a landmark year for Jaguar Land Rover in the United States as our product innovations continue to spur consumer demand, especially for luxury sports cars and SUVs," said Joe Eberhardt, President and CEO, Jaguar Land Rover, North America, LLC. "With 70, 582 vehicles sold, Land Rover has established a new U.S. sales record and Jaguar has built the foundation for a spectacular coming year with the all-new XE and F-PACE and its EliteCare ownership package."

 

U.S. BRAND HIGHLIGHTS

 

Land Rover

For the month of December, Land Rover sales hit its highest monthly sales ever with 8,441 units sold, up 47 percent from 5,754 units sold in December 2014.

 

The Range Rover hit 1,835 units in December; increasing 24 percent from 1,482 units sold in December 2014.The Range Rover Sport hit 2,246 units in December, increasing 10 percent from 2,036 units sold in December 2014.

 

For the full year 2015, Land Rover brand U.S. sales reached a new all-time high of 70,582 units, an increase of 37 percent and surpassing last year's sales of 51,465 units.  The Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover Evoque established new U.S. annual sales records. Full year sales were led by the brand volume leader Range Rover Sport with 21,459 sales up 20 percent from 17,897 units in 2014.

 

For the full year 2015, the Discovery Sport which went on sale in the spring of 2015, sold 7,611 units.

 

Jaguar

For the month of December, Jaguar sales hit 1,197 units, down 29 percent from 1,683 units in December 2014.

 

With 559 units sold, the Jaguar XF had its best retail month since March as the new generation model began to reach the market.

 

For the full year 2015, Jaguar is down 8 percent, due to run down on recently introduced new and refreshed models. In 2016, Jaguar will introduce two new models - the Jaguar XE sports sedan and F-PACE performance SUV.

 

For the full year, Jaguar F-TYPE sales hit 4.629 sales, up 13 percent from 4,112 units in 2014.
