  1. I've been thinking lately - I can't wait for Ford to fold. The sooner they do, the less likely it is that GM will do the same. The UAW will have to make some kind of concession if Ford folds. Maybe then GM could compete. Would this work? Will it come to this? What do you think?
  2. I've never even been inside a Monte... Am I out of the club? :AH-HA_wink:
  3. They never did anything anywhere near that tasteless on Pimp My Ride.
  4. I just emailed this to a friend of mine with a Maxima, with the subject - "Don't crash your car'.

  6. I posted this in your other thread.... http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...mp;#entry255842
  7. No. Magnaflow is American. magna from wikipedia
  8. Yeah, how do you end up with a BS from Engineering anyways? I don't think that's possible in Canada...
  9. Ford was stupid enough to release SEL versions of their cars in Canada. sel = salt (french). Yes, do you have any Taurus SALTs in today? Stupid... Canada would have their first auto company, eh? :AH-HA_wink: I know they were based in Flint, but Buick and Chevrolet were both helped in the early days by McLaughlin, a Canadian manufacturer. http://www.gmcanada.com/inm/gmcanada/engli..._gm_canada.html
  10. I know nobody asked, but in case anybody cares - me: 2005 BEng, Software Engineering, McMaster University.
  11. Band Name Generator * Snapped Satty * Homeless Satty * Satty Apostle * Hypno - Satty * Satty Project * Satty Insomnia * Satty Uranium * Satty Foam * Bung Satty * Satty Mystery
  12. Then the fat ones would just give up, and eat the oatmeal...
  13. how about this one? denver post It's not fully explained in that version of the article, but the near-death story I liked best for this guy was in grade school when he brought in a bow and arrow to show and tell and managed to impale himself with one of the arrows....
  14. There is speculation in the greater Toronto media, starting yesterday, that Mississauga, Ontario based parts supplier Magna is looking at buying Chrysler. The reaction in the lunch room here was largely that people would consider Chrysler again, if it were Canadian, and especially if it were based in the GTA (greater Toronto). What would your reaction be to a Canadian owned Chrysler? How would the UAW respond?
  15. I thought about going to the US for university when I was applying. Then I realized what the tuition costs. Here, engineering at a good school was CAD$6000 a year. In the US for a comparable university (I remember one of the U Californias being in there, but not which one), was US$25,000 a year.... hmmm, where am I going to go? Even for international students, with no subsidies from the Canadian government our tuition is still around CAD$20,000 a year. That's why several international students I talked to at my school chose Canada instead of the US for schooling. <drawl>Keep those foreigners out know, ya hear?</drawl>
  16. A gay man with a wiener dog? I'd make a joke but I think Satty could probably do better. No offense man, but that is funny.
  17. I've been saying ever since those Golfs and Jettas came out that they have a ridiculous number of burned out taillights, even on brand new cars. Wonder if this has something to do with that?
  18. That's what Canada does. I wouldn't have it any other way.
  19. I've always loved the smell of butterscotch and maple (like maple donuts). Also, the smell of magazine pages. I know that's weird, but it's an interesting smell.
  20. I also made it into a sign to put on my door while I'm doing renovations, to keep all the whiners from knocking.
  21. I've noticed some burbling and popping from time to time on my Cobalt. Is this normal for newer cars? I've never heard it until this car. My Sunfire (which was also a 5-speed and I think even had the same engine) never did that.
