  1. That's pretty cool. It's starting to get eaten by the surrounding bush a little. Surprised there are no Stude fans willing to fell a few trees to keep it ledgible.
  2. I forgot about Iraq. You could add that one to the list too, if you'd like. It fits.
  3. Sixty8 - it's all about perception. Think about the person who buys a Metro, thinking, 'why would i spend all that money on <insert muscle or luxury car here> and all the gas when I can get by for 1/4 the price??' We value cars the way some people value clothing.
  4. I can't even see anything different, other than the headlights. I guess if you had the pics side by side you would notice more?
  5. America Canada Brazil Argentina Cuba England Ireland Scotland France Germany Denmark Netherlands Switzerland Spain Portugal Poland Ukraine Italy Isreal Russia China India Pakistan Japan Australia New Zealand South Africa Other than being important countries, what do they all have in common? Got it yet? ...nope, it's simpler than that... HINT: What is missing from this list? Why?
  6. a big nada. Only Chevies I've owned are Lumina and Cobalt.
  7. Does the retirement advice sound anything like Charlie Murphy from Knee High Park? http://www.comedycentral.com/shows/chappel....jhtml?start=17
  8. Ya. Mickey-D's, J-Lo etc. I will give you, point taken. KFC, however, is KFC. I've never heard someone say Kentucky Fried Chicken in real life.
  9. Americans who haven't learned the word touque. (say the word "too", then the beginning of the word "question"). HAT: TOUQUE: Also - not sure if it really qualifies as slang, but another thing that annoys me is the need some Americans feel to talk about everyones government as "Democrats" or "Republicans". It's not always that simple.
  10. The Pontiac/Buick/GMC dealer in my hometown is called Mohawk. Then again, they have license to, since the largest indian reservation in Canada is right next to the town.
  11. 28 to 53 mph??? What good is that??
  12. Riiight... thanks for reminding me guys, the one in that picture IS an Impala. The first one was a Malibu.
  13. Speaking of 80's Malibus, I can't remeber what year this one they made the carpool out of was... now THATS some trivia
  14. I've never seen one of these until today. I had to check on the 'net to see if it was real - it almost looked like someone did a lot of bodywork to a Protege5 and stuck Lexus badges on it. Was this sold in Canada??
  15. I see this thread is back from the dead. The information is probably not accurate anymore, as the Cobalt should probably be on the list.
  16. I'm with BV. I have no desire to tune my car either though.
  17. The idea was, if you wanted a V8 in a Camaro, you would definately take one in a Magnum, since it's larger. So, I guess 'Camaro' is the closest thing to your request for a vote for 'both'.
  18. All this hoopla about the Camaro got me thinking - it's not that I don't like the Camaro, I just don't like muscle cars in general when it comes to my purchasing decisions. If I had to tow a trailer or boat, sure, a V8 makes sense. But, would you buy a V8 just for the speed and torque?
  19. The elderly are just as bad though. I remember seeing statistics for Ontario when I was in driving school (pretty much mandatory here). There were very close to the same number of drivers in Ontario aged 16-21 as there were aged 65+. There were also very close to the same number of accidents and fatalities from each group.
  20. Anyone else find it ironic that the post of 'the beast' is just a smily face?
  21. The water in Brantford where I grew up was full of iron and minerals too. It is one of the purest tap waters in North America in terms of parts per million of anything not H2O. However, all the matter that remains is iron and minerals, so it still tasted like licking a rock. Toronto water tastes better.
  22. Cadillac himself was born in Montreal. I saw the plaque they put up at his birthplace, commemorating his life and speaking of his life in Detroit. Unfortunately this birthplace now happens to be a McDonalds, with the plaque on the wall.
