The next G6 will have AWD available, but it'll be on demand and only send power to the back if the front slips.

Yeah selling the car doesn't make any sense at this point. Not only are there are a lot of hidden fees that will come back to bite you, but there are costs in the looking and worrying process (it may not come out of your wallet directly, but they're costs nonetheless).

That's priced way high.. I just sold my 98 for $4k and was happy to get it.

I'm OK with the Corsa not coming here. The imported Astra and NG Astra built here should be small enough.

It really needs a rubber strip on the side.

Since the NG Aura is just a rebadged Vectra, I think this is a perfectly fine idea. 45,000 units a year seems high though.

The next-generation Opel Vectra wagon will be imported and sold as a Saturn, senior GM sources in Europe say. The target is 50,000 units annually, beginning in 2008 or 2009. The mid-sized wagon will be assembled in Ruesselsheim, Germany, using GM's next-generation, front-wheel-drive Epsilon platform. Interviewed at the British Motor Show, GM Europe President Carl-Peter Forster said "a final decision has not been made" on exporting the Vectra wagon to the United States. But Forster said the plan would be feasible. He said the future Vectra sedan and the wagon will use the next-generation Epsilon vehicle architecture. "An export version would not require any additional expenditure," he said, because "for the first time (the Vectra) is based on a global component architecture." That architecture will be used for vehicles sold in Europe, the United States and elsewhere, including the next-generation Saab 9-3, Pontiac G6 and Aura. The Saturn Aura sedan that goes on sale this fall is based on the current- generation Epsilon architecture. The Vectra wagon will become the second Opel import in Saturn's lineup. Beginning in 2007, GM will replace the Saturn Ion with rebadged Opel Astras, aiming to sell as many as 45,000 units annually. The fwd Astra is about the size of a Ford Focus. The imported Vectra wagon will offer all-wheel drive and a V-6 engine, says Jim Hall, vice president of industry analysis at AutoPacific Inc. in Southfield, Mich. Hall said Saturn's marketing team is now determining whether to launch the vehicle as a premium model, basically the wagon version of the upcoming Aura sedan, or as a "quasi off-road version." The 2007 Aura introduces the styling themes for the upcoming Vectra wagon.

Guys.. this is obviously the next Malibu. GMX386, built on Epsilon I in Fairfax. The Epsilon II model is coming out for the 2011 model year.

I don't like the grill area that much, but the rest looks great. Very well proportioned. Hopefully they fixed up the driving dynamics that have plagued other Epsilons...

It's much easier for a short person to get in a car and move the seat up than a tall person to squeeze in and move the seat back.

The exterior looks really good here, but the interior is a major letdown IMO. EDIT: does anyone see an ever-so-slight Camry resemblance the way the hood crease runs into the Saturn bucktooth grill?

A stripper 3-door weighs 2974 lbs and gets 22/30 mpg.

I think the main competitors will be large 3-row crossovers, like the Pacifica, XC90, and V6 R-class.

I actually don't know the HP increase of the exhaust system, if it does anything at all. It's mainly there to look cool and provide a deeper exhaust note. The Night Panel button is cool: at night you press it and all the dash lights turn off or dim except for the speedo. It's designed to be used if you're just cruising on the highway.
