I think the XLR looks fantastic, but its interior is not at all up to par. The next-gen CTS looks OK in pictures, but not fantastic. The STS looks pretty bad; bland bland bland with some weirdness thrown in. The SRX is funky and different; very love or hate, which is good. The DTS will look very dated soon... the overhangs are ridiculous. -
Wow, that's pretty harsh. The Sebring is OK, but there's no reason to buy one over any of its competitors really. The Nitro, however, is getting absolutely awful reviews all around.

Shrinking large platforms doesn't usually work that well--GM has a new midsize SUV platform coming in a couple of years, as well as a redesigned Theta.

I got to Rennes a few days ago--my host family is super nice and not at all arrogant. Paris was tons of fun; I'll post some pictures when I get back. Oh, like 2/3 of the cars here are French, and almost all the rest are German.

Toyota was showing off the new Auris in Rennes yesterday... looks crappy.

Well, in a couple of hours I'll be heading off to France for the month of June. I'm going through my university's study abroad program; I'll be staying with a host family in Rennes and living a more cultured life for a few weeks. I probably won't have Internet over there, so hopefully I don't miss anything major.

China would be absolutely insane to attack Taiwan, though the US would be insane to engage in a full-scale hot war. -
Mercedes for the early part of the 2000s made unreliable junk for the most part... they have since gotten their act together and their new cars won't break down as much (supposedly).

That Citroen is one sweet car. The French are good at old-school luxury.

If they got rid of cab licensing, this would probably already happen for greenies willing to pay more for it.

It should have an automatic e-brake like the new Passat; you don't roll backwards on hills! The new Corsa has it, so GM clearly has the technology. Good to hear that Bluetooth is available; I found it really stupid that it wasn't in there. Not everyone wants to use the OnStar phone service, and tons of cellphones have it these days.

There will be a new Vibe in a year and a bit, though it will be a reskin of the current model.

I think the refreshed 9-3 looks very good. I think this points to an absolutely fabulous Epsilon 2 9-3 in a couple of years.
