    I am surprised / not surprised at the Niro's performance. I'm surprised it took off so quickly for an unknown name with little marketing, but I'm not surprised because it is a really good product for the price and target market. And as far as hitting the core segment out there... it's a largish compact with a "crossover" shape and it's a hybrid. With a starting price of $23k, it's no wonder it's turning into a knock-out hit.

    I think for people who don't care, car sharing, car subscriptions, and various schemes like that will increase. They'll take the place of the CamCordTima crowd. For the people who do care, there will still be the niche products out there.

    I mean more like an article. There have been articles downvoted before. Bobo's post is essentially an annual article that he puts together for us every year. Old's stuff usually just confuses me so I'm not ever sure whether to upvote, downvote, or do confused eyes.

    Well, for the same price, you also have the option of the CTS V-Sport Premium Luxury with the expensive paint and fancier leather seats. This is the overlap that Cadillac is trying to cure.     A gently used, certified pre-owned Bolt would be a steal for someone shopping the segment. That said, I think part of it also has to do with the way the tax credit is structured. If you lease, you get the full credit vis-a-vie the leasing company. If you buy, then you have to deal with submitting for the tax credit and possibly not being eligible for the full amount. I'm certain that is an aspect for leasing as well.

    How's this for crazy... a base XTS V-Sport Platinum (the only trim for V-Sport XTS now) and a CT6 3.0TT Premium Luxury with Super Cruise are right about the same price.

    That said... I have a problem with downvoting a post like the original one here. @bobo doesn't come around too often for reasons he put in the post, but he takes the time every year to put together one of these and he's done it for about a decade. It's like downvoting an article. Don't downvote something like that where someone obviously put some work into assembling... and certainly don't be inhospitable to someone who doesn't come here often.

    The Q5 is front wheel drive. The RX was flat and the NX was up. Volvo's FWD crossovers are selling well. Your argument is invalid.

    Should probably include the CTS and XTS as well. They straddle those MSRPs also.
