    Do you think the Grand Cherokee or Durango or Wrangler have a risk of going out of production in that amount of time? I could see a Turbo-4 being added to the first two, but not a removal of the V6 in the next three model years. Hell, they're still running the Hemi V8 there. Also remember the Pentastar is available in a 3.2 version in the Cherokee. This I could see dying and going to 2.0T only... or just getting upgraded to the 3.6 the Pacifica has. Ram still uses the Pentastar as a base engine. Also... will the Journey ever die? It's another one with the 3.6. The long and short of it is that the Pentastar is still a pretty efficient V6 today. I also think Wrangler buyers and Dakota buyers will be particularly resistant to a Turbo-4 as the only option. Keep in mind there is talk of the Pentastar getting a twin-turbo version to replace the Hemi in some applications.

    Friends of mine bought the Tiguan. They really like it. It seems like a more expensive vehicle than it is.

    Batteries are made of expensive metals... just because they don't get shaped into visually interesting machines doesn't make them cheap. Electric drivetrains still require lots of design and engineering work, otherwise everyone would have loads of them already.

    No need. GM already has some of the best in electrification out there. just use that instead.

    The Saudis are one of the few out there that sees the writing on the wall with regard to fossil fuels. With an economy so heavily invested in oil they are working feverishly.... no... frantically... to diversify their economy. They're trying to open up to tourism by building brand new resort cities on their south eastern coast. They are now allowing women to drive. They are working on solar and electric car projects. They are getting deep into banking and foreign real estate. I may not agree with them on most things... but they know what's up and are planning ahead.

    Yup, they're going after Tesla. The Model X is $71k for slightly less range.... and Tesla will be running out of tax credits soon while Audi still has a bit further to go.

    The Beetle is one of my favorite VWs. They are comfortable, they handle great, they're just plain fun to drive.

    I'm sure the narrow tires that it would have been running at the time also helped in the snow too. One of the downsides of the "performance" all-seasons we run on all cars these days is the relatively terrible snow performance.

    LOL.... without automotive fashion, all vehicles would be Camrys available in S/M/L, one Crossover, and one truck. Or... if you go back far enough.... without automotive fashion, we'd all be driving Model-Ts still. I like the looks of this though, it has potential. It looks familiar yet different. I think Hyundai should skip their version and it should go straight to Genesis.... though I'm sure Genesis will get a version as well.

    For not releasing it as a crossover sized somewhere between a Trax and an Equinox? Yes I do.

    I like the retro steering wheel. I think it's side profile is what an XC40 would look like if they made a "coupe " version.

    They have a helmet that can do this. Of course for the Harley Guys, that wouldn't work.

    I was expecting GM to have released more bolt powered vehicles by now... Another 6 months and they'll have dropped the ball.

    This is a hard one for me. My gut reaction is to look for a newer used Vette. Otherwise new mustang.

    no one cares about external dimensions. They care about price and space inside. The original CTS was priced against the 3-series but was within tenths of an inch of the 5-series. Interior-wise, it was slightly smaller than 5-series but larger than 3-series. This is not a new phenomenon for Cadillac. If you've got $40k, your choice is CLA or ATS... not C-Class. If you've got $50k, your choice is GLC or XT5.... not GLE. In 2004, if you've got $35k, your choice is CTS or 3-series.... not 5-series.
