We (and by that I mean @smk4565) don't allow for that explanation when its Cadillac or Lincoln, so we shouldn't for Benz either.

No. Early fall.

Around here, they've been putting them in the parking lots of the dying malls.

GLC, sure... maybe.... but the GLS is down 33% for the month. A few months of that and you'll see the YTD start to slide into double digits.

Some things are worth saving even if it costs more than a new one. I have two Kirby vacuum cleaners from the 1970s (bought one, one was given to me later) that I rather repair and keep using instead of buying new. I don't care that I can get a new vacuum from target for $75 and it will cost me $75 dollars to service the Kirby. The Kirby will outlive me if I keep up on parts and such for it. Both of them pre-date me in the first place. They'll suck the nails out of the floorboards if you let them... no modern household vacuum can do that. On my A/C, I did replace my window units with central air and got a new furnace out of it, but my window units weren't that great at keeping the house comfortable and I had to run 3 of them at the same time just to make it tolerable. Central is so much better than window units.

Everything except A-class and G-Wagon and AMG GT are down huge.

Yes and Yes.

Not by me... Pruis drivers are some of the worst of the crazies.... worse than BMW drivers.

I keep seeing Continentals around me. Since I can't get a CT6 into my driveway, I should put a Conty on my shopping list instead.

The transmission probably went. That was the weak link in those cars. The rest of the car was pretty solid.

All those big (mostly) V8s stuck behind an undepowered aircooled 4. Wow that's beautiful!

I've always understood the Freeze/Thaw scenario to mean that it was low on refrigerant.

A neighbor down the street from me just traded their previous gen GLS for a Snow White Pearl new Telluride SX. It has a lot more presence than the GLS. Every vehicle that I've driven that has such features has a menu option somewhere to turn them off. And they stay off. The limited features I have in my Encore, Lane keep alert, collision alert, and park assist are all able to be disabled at the touch of a button and they stay off unless I put them back on again. The only one I can't fully disable is rainsense in that it's always on if the wipers are set to intermittent. But I can turn the wipers off or constant naturally. I like rainsense though, so I usually leave it on.

Still predicting the coming recession? I still see it too, but the economy is defying the indicators for now. -

That just means that 2018 was a great year for them (and it was). But look at all the red on that ticker, lots of brands are struggling right now... the market as a whole is down something like 3% for the year. Jeep has 4 new or updated models coming out over the next 2 years. And that's just the ones we know about. I think they'll be just fine. -

You just like to pick on FCA. They sell more Jeeps than Volkswagen and Audi combined. They sell more than all of Hyundai. They sell more than all of Kia. They're moving a lot of metal. Jeep alone sells about 50% of the entire Toyota brand. -
PALO ALTO, Jul 02, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE via COMTEX) -- PALO ALTO, Calif., July 02, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In the second quarter, we achieved record production of 87,048 vehicles and record deliveries of approximately 95,200 vehicles. In addition, we made significant progress streamlining our global logistics and delivery operations at higher volumes, enabling cost efficiencies and improvements to our working capital position. Production Deliveries Model S/X 14,517 17,650 Model 3 72,531 77,550 Total 87,048 95,200 Orders generated during the quarter exceeded our deliveries, thus we are entering Q3 with an increase in our order backlog. We believe we are well positioned to continue growing total production and deliveries in Q3. Customer vehicles in transit at the end of the quarter were over 7,400. Due to the order-to-VIN matching process we described in our Q1 2019 Shareholder Letter, which we extended to Model S and Model X in Q2 to improve process efficiency, this metric has become less relevant. As a result, we do not plan to disclose the customer vehicles in transit metric going forward
