  1. I was kinda hoping Kia would bring it over here for us journalists to try, but it is right-hand drive. ?
  2. The Ultimate Driving Niche.
  3. They already make an MDX hybrid
  4. Now try doing all of that with two feet and three pedals instead of one foot and two pedals. It definitely takes more skill and coordination to do. I can drive a stick, but I'm not as good on the track with one as I am with an auto.
  5. No idea what will happen. I think if they default on the payments, the state will take the highways back.
  6. not really, just faster at shifting. I wonder what ever happened to GM's "No Lift Shift" that they had on the Cobalt, ATS-V, and CTS-V? I wonder if the CT4-V and CT5-V will have it. On the manual shifter on the C8, I think they expected the take rate to be very low that they didn't want to bother with the engineering and certifications.
  7. The Turnpike was always a toll road. What changed was the ownership of it from the Commonwealth of PA to a private company. The company was to make payments to PA, but they are having financial trouble and may not be able to keep up the payment.
  8. Functionally, a DCT is just a really fast automatic.
  9. The company I work for, a large energy company that does a lot of oil and gas extraction, has announced that they are aiming to get out of the hydrocarbon business.
  10. The PA Turnpike was privatized and is going bankrupt.
  11. Now you're just trolling....
  12. Yea, the C7 is a great car to drive. I wouldn't mind owning one once my powerball ticket hits.
  13. I think there is a lot of initial excitement for it, also why sales of the C7 have been lagging... people knew the C8 was coming and were waiting.
  14. The switch is going to come more forcefully in Europe where cities are planning on banning IC cars in the city core.
  15. Won't be surprised when we hear about cuts at Audi also. The TT is already ToastToast. Wouldn't be surprised to see the A5 and A7 go. That was part of the point of the article... BMW is having trouble making money on cars at the bottom end.
  16. We've already had a few of those. The Subaru Legacy SUS, the Volvo S60 Cross Country, the Accord Crosstour, Acura ZDX, even the Chevy Bolt (Chevy insists it is a crossover)
  17. It's going to be sportier than the boxy X7
  18. I"m a fan of blackout packages myself.
  19. the X8 is not going to be a crossover coupe like the X6.
  20. I hope the crossover coupes get the ax... but I doubt all of them will.
  21. The data is that it isn't good to put all your eggs in one basket. 2024 is almost the end of the next presidential term, so who knows what can happen between now and then. Chevy having 0 conventional sedans in 2025 doesn't sound like a good position to be in... especially since the Accord and Camry are likely to still be here.
  22. It hasn't even been officially unveiled yet, but the Porsche Taycan has already secured more than 30,000 pre-orders, 10,000 more than the initial estimates. Porsche initially set production at 20,000 per year but later raised it to 40,000 per year. The extra €2,500 deposits support this raise in production. Porsche has been recruiting for 1,500 new positions to support the manufacturing process. If Porsche does sell 40,000 Taycans in the first year, it will eclipse Porsche's famous 911 in sales. The Taycan is Porsche's EV rival to the Tesla Model S. Porsche is installing fast chargers at all of its dealerships in the U.S. and Europe that can add 62 miles of range in just 4 minutes. The Taycan's total range is around 310 miles. In addition, the first 3 years of charging will be free at Electrify America charging stations. The Taycan's starting price is expected to be arount $90,000. View full article
