  1. tsk tsk, but you can't spin against Toyota Josh.... is doesn't work that way.
  2. Tried that with the Pacifica. Strike 1!
  3. Never tried any drugs. My anti-drug is money.... making more of it that is. It's nice being 27 and retired.
  4. They are enough to make you stop and take notice. It made things a lot easier to see inside the car.
  5. Otherwise known as the "dome light". In most cars it's kinda dim and pathetic. The gauges are nice too though. Much less "wow" factor there.
  6. After the astounding public response to the uber-retro Challenger, Chrysler is releasing it's newest uber-retro car... the Aspen... Suddenly it's 1975.
  7. They go on and on about the interior lighting, but ya know what? It really is that good. I did my test drive of a top line DTS at night time and the interior lighting is the first thing I noticed.... I quite literally said "Wow!". This is the type of car where the drive wheels are substantially less relevant. I didn't notice any of the loathsum traits of FWD during my time with the car.
  8. Well that's just silly. I see more modded out Corollas then I see modded out Scions. In fact, I've not seen a modded out Scion except a few with the grapefruit launcher exhausts.
  9. We need a rating system for the severity of a recall. Replacing the cables in a tailgate hatch does not equal replacing ball joints because they might fall off.
  10. BV, the pic doesn't do the CTS justice.... nor do any of the pics I could find on google. It really looks much better then that 02-03 model you posted, and the updates for 2006 are kinda nice too. For whatever reason, all the pics I can find are of the 2003 or CTS-v. Look on Cadillac.com for the updated 2006 photos.
  11. So a certain member of C&G convinced me to arrive on sunday and go to the show on monday. I'd still like to meet up with some of you if you do something on sunday, but realisticly, I won't be in town till 2ish. On the plus side, we're staying at the Marriot Renisance.
  12. I drive a CTS every day and the interior of the IS doesn't impress me. I like the BMW interior's looks best, but none of them really stand out. Exterior wise, I like the C-class hand's down.
  13. NOS is right, we should all meet up for lunch on Sunday.
  14. Another question... Cobo Center is the same as Cobo Arena right?
  15. I'll be arriving the evening of the 14th and leaving sometime on the 16th. Who would like to meet up with my partner and I? I'll probably be bringing my laptop and I believe Cobo has free wireless access.
  16. Just think of the Avanti reproductions that could be made off of this!!!
  17. I wouldn't have picked any of the 3.... and since this is the price class I shop in. I didn't.
  18. Not a fair comparison. The W-body Impala essentially took over the job of 3 nameplates. Lumina, Caprice and Impala SS.
  19. You're looking the wrong direction GM. Look up! See those shiny new Z4s and SLKs and that empty spot in the Cadillac showroom? Fill it.
  20. The only time the CTS goes to the dealer is for regularly scheduled service and snow tire change overs..... sometimes I drive over there just to get a free carwash out of them.
  21. That's a tough one. I think in the long run you'll be more personally satisfied by the Lucerne. As smooth as the 5.3 in the SS is, the Northstar is smoother. The rear seat of the Lucerne will probably be easier to get a baby seat in and out of. In 5 years, the Lucerne will be more exclusive then the Impala SS. The Impala SS may be more practical for your overall situation. With a little one around, the storage spaces will be useful. If they manage to sell at or better then the previous one's rate, you'll see lots of Impalas around.
  22. 79 Eldorado/Toronado Turnsignal/headlight/highbeam indicators on the fenders and just turnsignal/brake light over the rear window
  23. Mule, what that picture can't show you is that there are layers of buttons there. You can pull a button for certain functions. I've used a similar setup in the new DTS and it's actually quite intuitive and useful. Yes there are lots of buttons, but they are easy to operate.
