  1. None ever... and the most I have to drink is something with dinner.
  2. There isn't enough land in the US for ethanol if you only base the ethanol production on corn. Sugar, switch grass, potatoes and hops.... another matter entirely.
  3. Oil changes cost more then your standard car because they take more then 5 quarts of oil. Other then that, just the usual headaches associated with any overly gizmoed car.
  4. http://www.esetz.com/
  5. I saw this thing grazing few blocks from my house. It's a '71.
  6. Gently used Alero
  7. I have the solution to all your women problems..... but... uh... I don't think you're interested.
  8. Sing it with me kids, it's better to go for the worst gas users rather then the best. GM has the right approach on this one. Starting with buses and then full size trucks. Then down to medium size SUVs and then sedans..... Do the math: 12,000 miles a year If you take two vehicles, one that gets 15mpg and one that gets 30mpg. Apply a hybrid to them that nets to a 20% efficiency gain in mpg. The car that gets 30mpg now gets 36mpg. The hybrid version saves 66.6 gallons of gas over the course of 12,000 miles. The car that gets 15mpg now gets 18mpg. The hybrid version saves 133 gallons of gas over the course of 12,000 miles.
  9. One doesn't need data. The car rags already prove that.
  10. how much was the shipping and handling?
  11. Any Grand Am EVAR! Preferably one that sound like it's last oil change was when Regean was in office.
  12. I like how every modern car in the commercial was a production car.... except the Camaro.
  13. The Benz weighs 500lbs less and has one extra cog in the tranny....
  14. I like them right up until the C pillar. After that the shape kinda gets lost.
  15. Given the age of the N*, I'd say you could still call it "old fashioned".
  16. and the movie industry wonders why we don't go to the movies anymore....
  17. The FWD Cord came out also in 1934... and was the inspiration for the Toronado. The horrizontal grill and hide away headlights of the Toronado were tributes to the Cord. So... much like any other battle... the best France can claim is a tie. And a few photos... And I think it was this car or another that helped the Olds Toronado design team make the decision to make that car front-drive. So, front-drive is a French thing made American, in other words.
  18. Capacity probably. Doubt they can build it in Lordstown.
  19. Golf, Beetle, Jetta, Passat, A4, TT = A4 platform A6 A8, Phaeton and Tourege
  20. Heck, isn't the entire VW/Audi lineup on just 3 platforms?
  21. There are only 5% of new car buyers the know the difference between a push rod and a push broom.
  22. We don't have low-sulfer diesel here in the US. It's the sulfer in the fuel that causes problems with the newer cleaner burning diesels the Euros have. An old diesel can run low-sulfer fuel, but a new diesel can't run US spec fuel. The refineries have till 2007 <I think> to convert to low sulfer production. It's not that the Euro engines will change, it's that the fuel here in the US will be compatible with the current engines.
  23. The Camry isn't really a premium 4-cylinder. I'm thinking more along the lines of Saab 9-3, Acura TSX, Audi A4.
