  1. I like the idea on the upper end models something like a LaCross Super. The HF series of V6 engines from GM are very smooth. The 3.6 in my CTS is very satisfying all over it's powerband. It runs just fine on the recommended 87 octane. In direct injection form, the power/efficiancy should only increase. That said, I really would like a AFM 5.3 putting out around 330hp in the CTS. I think that <with the new interior/exterior> would allow the CTS to take on the 5-series at all levels. Imagine, the CTS being available with a 2.8 <528>, 3.6 <530>, 5.3 <545>, and 6.0 <M5>. Naturally it will automatically suck because the upper engines have pushrods.
  2. how much you wanna bet that won't happen..... the rental agencies will just keep the price the same and take the extra profit.
  3. That will drive up resale value as well which will in turn make it a little easier to sell the new ones closer to sticker.
  4. the fact that it lunged towards you with that blacked out grill much in the same way the Charger, Mustang, Camaro, Challenger and prev-gen 5-series do.
  5. Considering the average weight of a current minivan and the fact that these won't be considered a minivan.... while also not being considered a full size SUV. These will be a logical step for families who don't want mini-van OR full size SUV stigma.
  6. The other big difference between the '96 and the '06? '96 = Badass looking '06 = looks like what that middle aged mother of 2 secretary might drive if she doesn't have a minivan.
  7. and still lost....
  8. even has the same flat tire.... So now we have a case where the lady doth protest too much.
  9. Me: Used Olds -> used Chevy -> Used Olds -> CadillacMom: Plymouth -> Pontiac -> Olds -> Cadillac
  10. Then ask them why they're not selling LSes or Thunderbirds anymore. Ask GM why they're canceling/cutting most of the GMT360s in favor of the Lambdas
  11. Do they ever pronounce *anything* correctly?
  12. well they haven't exactly been rolling in cash for the past few years.....
  13. well it took all of 25 minutes for the bashing to start.....
  14. I just got back from a trip to 2018 via my time machine and found this wikipedia article. **this article, while obviously not true, is a cut and paste from another wikipedia article documenting the fall of another distinctly American major U.S. industry. Only the names and dates have been changed.
  15. uhm.... at this point, why don't they just recall all toyotas..... just in case.
  16. 'bout damn time..... cheepskate.
  17. what good would that do, that'd be like the Titanic and the Lusitania tieing up to each other to prevent each other from sinking. Just because Ford and GM merged doesn't mean the holes wouldng still be there letting water rush in.
  18. sterling or a early attempt at a hybrid. it's the cooling fans that get me, old electrical equipment was notorious for the amount of waste heat they generate. but the fans could also be used for the "cool" side of a sterling.
  19. I think "I like the way you move" by bodyrockers would be better.
  20. The 3800 is ULEV. If the 3800 can't meet the emission regs, then there are a *lot* of other engines out there that won't either.
  21. The 2.8 is in the 9-3 and the CTS. 1 FWD and 1 RWD.
  22. Why would Nissan inherit GM's legacy costs? Nissan wouldn't be using GM workers, they'd hire their own.
