1. did you never change the timing belt?
2. Operating a camera while driving is a good way to get hit by Toyotas or SuperDutys
3. Didn't GM used to put a diesel in the 'Burban? If they don't ever make my E85, AFM, hybrid Avalanche, I'll take a duramax Avalanche instead please.
4. If it was smoothness and quietness you were after, I could have spent the extra 3 grand for the Northstar. Even at it's current age it's still one of the smoothest on the market. I like Meryl Streep's character. I'm going through a messy divorce and she <Miranda, the character Meryl plays> is kind of my hero right now.
5. Lexus LS Hybrid.
6. realistically? economies of scale.
7. That's about the same premium a Jetta or Beetle TDI commands and VW has waiting lists for them......
8. Seeing as that you're all my e-friends... I can take it as much as I can dish it out. That said.... I have always stated, "The size of the tailpipe is inversely proportional to the size of the penis". This is especially true in Civics and trucks.
9. 5.3 from an Impala SS Northstar S/C 3800 <OMG! NOOOooes!@! Pushrods ARE Teh suxors!> I've seen a number of X cars with 3800s in them, so I know those work.
10. and you people call yourself car fanatics..... don't even understand the basic process of a 4 stroke engine....*scoff* I'm VERY disappointed in you....
11. because you need something...anything.... to get going... it's the meat down low that matters.... and when there is plenty of it... it's easier to get around......
12. you're too used to the CTS ;-)
13. I think I'm with the rest of the forum who has posted here that you got a bum ride. Call Buick's regional manager and take it to a different dealer.
14. No... each stroke equals 180 turn of the crank. 1 Up stroke=Compression, 2 down stroke = ignition/expansion, 3 up stroke = exhaust, 4 down stroke = intake. A 1 cylinder, 4 stroke engine fires once for every two rotations of the crank.
15. I'll keep that in mind the next time I'm drag racing either....... speaking of drag, I love your new frock....
16. No. Rotations = revolutions. Typically, in 1 revolution of a 4 stroke engine, 1/2 of the total number of pistons fire. It takes two full revolutions of the crank for every cylinder to fire. I'm sure this varies by crankshaft design... but it's fairly close.
17. They have a history of favoring foreign brands over domestic ones...... even when the cars come off the same assembly line. When one displays bias like that it is hard to deem the rest of the information as reliable.
18. exactly how small do penises get anyway.....?
19. That is CR's way of saying "Pushrods suck". Keep in mind that the method's that CR uses to test cars...especially domestic cars...is not going to be anything remotely similar to normal driving.
20. Buy a Tesla.... no engine noise what so EVAR!
21. Sounds like a good deal. I think I want to wait for the upgrades from this or the '08 CTS. Won't this make Cadillac the second youngest lineup in the GM fleet?
22. I have no problems with this car... it may end up being a 2 year lease to hold me over till the CTS coupe comes out.
23. GM should really reconsider it's current stance on the future of the SRX.
24. yeah, that..... it comes up in every stinkin Buick review.... as if *REALLY* mattered that much in a car. Toyota gets away with a 10 cent LCD clock in every car it builds though.....
25. As "blah" as this car is it's an improvement.... guaranteed the press goes ape$h! over the damn green clock.
