  1. I don't understand why the magazines have gone ga-ga over the styling of this car. That side profile shows front and rear overhangs that would make a W-body blush....
  2. Here is my reasoning. Tie rods can effect alignment and if you need them replaced you'll need an alignment. It's the vibration on center that points me to the tie rods. When you're turning the force on the tires pushes the "sloppy" tie rod to either end of it's range so you don't feel any vibration. When you're on center, the tie rods are trying to maintain alignment, but because there is slop to them the twitter back and forth. I had the tie rods replaced for about $90 a side plus the cost of an alignment on my 94 Cutty convertible at a local Goodyear.
  3. Jerry Fallwell, who's not in heaven, wallow in thy shame. Thy time has come, thy life is done, and soon also your bretheren's. Give to the gays your severed head, and Fred Phelps up on pins, as we do to foes who pin against us. And lead us not to lamentation, for we are delivered from your evil. For ours are the Drag queens, the power bottoms, and the glory holes, now and forever. Gay-men
  4. Hence so many of us singing "Ding Dong the witch is dead"
  5. call before you dig
  6. What needs to happen is for GM to develop a good drop in set of head units, 1 nav, 1 standard, that can be put in the cars interchangeably.
  7. Only one of these makes logical sense.....not necessarily theocratic sense...but logical sense.
  8. Are you prepared to buy exclusively flexible fuel vehicles and use E85 in the meantime?
  9. VW Beetle wasn't exactly a slow seller either....
  10. Step 1. Buy Tesla stock Step 2. Buy new Avalanche Step 3. put new Avalanche in storage until current Avalanche croaks. Step 4. Buy Tesla Roadser as daily driver.
  11. You know what would be smart? If they circulated an e-mail forward encouraging people to find a carpool or bus to work on a certain day. But that would require people to change their habits.... and we know that ain't happening.
  12. Phelps, you're next..
  13. Link to Autoblog Perhaps Chevrolet should see if Ford is done with the "Bold Moves" slogan yet, because some Chevy dealers have grown a pair and are trying a radical move. They're bringing enemy No. 1 right into their showrooms. Chevrolet is confident enough in its forthcoming Malibu redesign, that they're willing to have customers paw all over their mid-size offering and Toyota's Camry side by side. Instead of just telling potential Malibu customers that Camry ain't all that, Chevy's car marketing director, Cheryl Catton, suggests dealers put one of the best-selling Toyotas right there next to Malibus. Production of the new Malibus begins in October, and GM's ad push for the car begins in January. Look for the Malibu/Camry steel cage death match to begin about then. But wouldn't it be a small sales boost to put a Camry in every Chevy dealership? Catton thought of that, and recommends the Toyotas be rented.
  14. I just don't see what is wrong with this interior that you guys.. <even Fly> pile up on it. None of these look in any way better style wise. They're all fairly conservative to the point of being bland..... I know this will give some of you boners... but I just don't see the obvious "superiority" over the STS. Exactly what is Mercedes thinking with that steering wheel. I actually like this one.....but it's because I'm a Star Trek fan and have always wanted to pilot the Enterprise. You guys can't serious be comparing it to this on terms of style.... snooze-a-rama here. Interesting, different... probably the most ground breaking in this class.... but how many M-classes does Infiniti sell?
  15. The difference being, you *can* buy a converter box for your 1983 Zenith.
  16. those candidates exist....they just aren't republican or democrat
  17. I like the idea of that DTS convertible... the problem is, it looks better with the top up than the top down
  18. Definitely a 58
  19. why am I not suprised..... it fits him
  20. With a shorter wheelbase
  21. Honda ripping off Hyundai now? That looks like a Sonata
  22. Is that Saturn's fault or Chevy's fault?
  23. I see VW TDIs, MB E-class CDIs, and Jeep Liberty CRDs, with some frequency.
