it's not just a 4-speed auto..... it's 4 fixed gears plus 2 electric CVTs. This transmission really needs a new name so people can get off this 4-speed rant.

I think the manufacturer's thing got me because I would consider Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth to be one..... that's why I made up my answer.

The EV-1 generation 2 had a range of about 100 miles per charge on NiMH Batteries. If it had Lithium Ion batteries, it might have been able to do 250 like the Tesla. Edit: I don't know if the EV-1s had regenerative braking or not. This guy test drove and EV-1 gen 2 for 5 days and on the 4th and 5th day he admittedly abused it and still got 83 miles to a charge..... this was in 1999.

Great Vid PCS. They really take it easy on that old Atlantic <the head engine>. She's probably dying to get out and run again... those were 70-90mph engines back in their day and here she is running at 10% throttle. That slantback switcher probably maxes out around 50 though. I've had a lifelong love of steam engines cultivated by growing up along the New Hope and Ivyland Railroad Edit: My Octobers and Novembers are usually filled with trips to the local steam lines. I visit the often and have even gotten to drive the engine in this video.
