Tundra Tailgates Tearing Apart
OT: I disagree with the description on this thread. Tundra is changing everything. It's changing everything you knew about Toyota's reputation.

$80,000 Sunfire (Auction)
About $79,999 too expensive for me.

GM Two-Mode Hybrid Pickups
Technologically, a diesel hybrid would be better off using Volt like technology. Diesels are at their most efficient when running at a slow, steady RPM rather than the ups and downs daily driving causes. Attach the diesel to a generator and power the wheels with just a huge ass traction motor. Remember, electric motors have 100% of their maximum torque available at 0 RPM. Call it the Escalade EMD.

Edmunds previews Malibu
Of course keeping in perspective that the V6 Camry is only 150lbs less, same with the new Accord... and none of them even come close to 300hp. Simply dropping the 305hp 3.6 litre DI engine in the Malibu will still take any other family sedan out there.

Edmunds previews Malibu
The same reason someone will complain about anything GM ever does. GM could make a fully functional model of Christ himself and people would *still* complain that the water to wine function only dispenses merlot.

Tundra Tailgates Tearing Apart
Some of the comments in that forum amuse me. If it's so perfect, why would you have to use the utility trailer? Well... yeah... plywood is stronger than balsa.. ORLY!? Did we hear about this when the new F-150 came out? Are we hearing about this with the new Silverado? Don't count on it bub.

What Can You Tell Me about Cobalt?
I can say that having only 4-cylinders is not going to prevent 20kph over the speed limit runs.

Malibu will 'take over' the digital world on Oct. 17th
Turn-by-turn is tied to OnStar's directions and connections service. So not only do you have directions that are constantly updated <what built in NAV does that?>, you also have concierge service. So not only can you get directions to that hot new Italian restaurant that you can't quite remember the name of, Onstar will make reservations for you. Try that in your NAV that you haven't bothered to pay for updates on in 3 years. But... Ooo look... pretty screen. Turn-by-turn + iPod input jack + ipod + $1500 cash in my pocket FTW.

Consumers feel crunch for jumps at the pump
I can't even fill up the Avalanche from empty anymore. PNC will only authorize $75 at a time when I pay at the pump.

JD Power Long Term report 3 years from now
The Koreans still don't have their business model right. They're operating under the method of "build the car and let marketing figure out how to sell it" Not gonna work. Chrysler tried that one already. Honda seems to be the most conservative and steady of them all. Their biggest flubs still turn out ok...even when we're laughing at them. I mean really, none of us here like the Ridgeline or the Tundra.... but which screwup is going to hurt the respective company more?

GM working on 7-/8-speed transmissions
Lexus engines are wrapped in enough sound insulation to make the Pink Panther jealous. Throw in motor mounts made of marshmellows <or active motor mounts> and yea... it'll be smoother. Guess what, the 3800 in the Lucerne is smooth and quiet to drive too and LeSabres and Bonnevilles were some of the first cars that came with an interlock so that you couldn't engage the starter while the engine was running because so many people couldn't tell when it was on.

Not so good Chrysler concepts
The think I liked most about the Super 8 was the "skew view" wrap around windshield

BMW or Benz doing the FWD version? Chrysler doing the FWD version? Good lord no.... Might as well give the project to Ford

Isn't something like 90% of this 2mode hybrid transmission the same as the 2 mod that will go into the FWD version?
