  5. I would, but there isn't much of a jump from top end CTS to bottom end CTS-V. The V8 would need to overlap each vehicle at least a little bit. I have my doubts a Northstar would fit.

Mini could come out with the MiniCooper-L based on the 7-Series chassis. and two questions, how is the CTS making Cadillac an entry level brand but the 1-series, C-Class and the former C-class coupe, the proposed B-class NOT making MB and BMW into entry lux?

  10. Link to Article and Pics at Autoblog For the past two decades, the only thing consistent about Ford's Lincoln division has been its inconsistency. To put it lightly, the brand has struggled to find it's place in the automotive landscape. The vehicles from Ford's premium domestic division haven't had a coherent look since the early '80s. Several of its models, such as the LS and the Navigator, have sold well at times, but the absence of a Lincoln DNA hasn't helped. In 2006, North American Design chief Peter Horbury set about changing all that. He gave his team the task of examining past Lincolns to determine what set them apart. The first new model intended to set Lincoln on it's path to rebirth is the 2009 MKS, which is making its debut in production form at the LA Auto Show later today. The MKS first appeared as a concept at the 2006 Detroit Auto Show. It's based on the same platform as the Ford 500/Taurus, which originated at Volvo under the S80/XC90. When the concept first appeared it was reasonably well received as a pleasant if not daring design for the marque. Subsequently, Horbury's team began its quest for the soul of Lincoln and came up with a list of seven elements that would be part of future Lincoln designs. Most of these appeared on the 2007 MKR concept that we saw in Detroit. While most of the MKS was already locked in for production, after the show Ford management made the decision to adopt one of most prominent elements from the new MKR concept, its grille.
  11. See, I'm promoting it from a car enthusiasts point of view. You don't live in an area that is suitable for car sharing, however I do. Car sharing will allow me to buy an old car while not having the worry of being stranded if the car is stuck in the driveway and not running and also no longer have the need for a "daily driver" backup car. It will also allow me to sell the Avalanche which mostly sits in my driveway since I can just pickup a Flexcar truck for the 4 times a month that I need a truck.

  17. WTF? Lincoln canceled their more performance oriented, lowest price, RWD model in favor of a FWD, Mazda based luxury cruiser. Cadillac is on the second <or 3rd if you count the Catera... hey.. it did handle well> iteration of their RWD luxury sport sedan. Cadillac has pwned Lincoln in the full sized luxury SUV market. Lincoln has no roadster. Lincoln has nothing in the STS's range... and at least Cadillac tried. And even the DTS is worlds better than the Towncar even if the Towncar out-fleets it.

  22. In Europe, a lot of new construction focuses on enviromental efficiency. I did still see American style McMansion parks, but not nearly as often as here.
