GM cars you miss seing the most
80's E-bodies that don't look like they came in second at a demo derby.

that works fine... and having the tie somewhat undone like that makes it kinda bad catholic schoolboy hot. Plain white shirt = goes with anything.

R.I.P. Lucerne CXS
Why not? The original 3.2 in the CTS was a 2 1/2 year only engine. It was replaced by the 2.8HF. If there ever was an example of a DOHC V6 being less refined than a pushrod V6.... the 3.2 would be it. It sounded awful, had a rough idle due to it's oddball 54 degree cylinder bank <I always describe it as a "limp">, used timing belts, wasn't particularly powerful for it's size and is the main cause for the poor rating for the CTS in CR in it's first year.... and thusly CR ignoring the substantially superior and better selling 3.6HF in subsequent years and continuing to base the CTS's rating on just the 3.2. Strangely it was based on the 3.0 available in the final years of the Saturn LS.... which, while not being a barn burner, was completely the opposite in terms of running mannerisms when compared to the 3.2. Additionally, the 3.0 had comparable power to the pushrod 3.4 and could have been directly swapped in and silenced all the whining about pushrods in the Minivans, N-bodies, W-bodies, etc. Sorry for the oddball GM DOHC V6 history lesson.

Autoblog picks the best debuts of New York Auto Show
It's these taunting headlines and posts of PCS's that I take particular issue with. Rather than posting about which cars were voted most popular, the headline describes one of the many that didn't make the most popular list.....with the specific intention of taunting certain members.

Considering buying used...
So... wait. She's concerned about status.... but gravitates towards a Vibe over a Rendezvous Ultra?

We need to talk about matching your tie with your shirt properly. Patterned shirt means solid tie. Solid shirt means patterned tied or solid tie of identical color or of starkly contrasting color. Patterned shirt with patterned tie =

The next evolution of drag racing
Personally, I'm waiting for drag races powered by matter/anti-matter.

The next evolution of drag racing
So build more Wind, Solar, Nuc-u-lar, and trash incinerators..... what's the problem here? Why is it when we have a problem; the response is automatically "Well $h!! We'd have to change the way we do something... can't have that!" Seriously people, I don't care if my car is powered by rabbit farts as long as rabbit farts are cheap and my car is fast and smooth.

Mark LaNeve: Camaro won't be positioned as a muscle car
so position it as a sports car.... what's the problem here?

Considering buying used...
Could be. I had Yokohama Avid Touring or Dunlop WinterSports on it. I didn't mind the 16s on my car because it was black. I don't think I could have gotten away with it in any other color.

Considering buying used...
No, I didn't have that package. I had 16s on mine. Cheaper for switching back and forth between snow tires/summer tires twice a year.... and I'm not a wheel size queen. I had craptastic Goodyears

loud whine
perhaps you ran over a honda?

Considering buying used...
I wouldn't consider OE tires wearing out at 28k to be a problem. I got 10k out of the original tires on my CTS. OE tires are notorious for short treadlife so that isn't something I would put much weight on. If your only other problem was the sunroof, then it sounds like you had a pretty good run with the vehicle. GM's CPO program is pretty decent. I would be confident in such a purchase.

New to me car....
heh... I was wondering if that would get mixed up. Dominic isn't my BF. Dominic is my BFF. No, Dominic is staying here. Albert, my BF, might move to Germany 3-4 months after I go over.

Favorite year?
1985, I'm not in it for the money. 1985 E-bodies + Seville, 1985 Continental, very slightly used 1983 b-body coupes, best year of the GM 350 diesel.

Favorite year?
so that's where GM $h! comes from.....

Camaro Engines? 4 Cylinder Turbo considered by Lutz
fixed. Yes.

First look: Holden Ute becomes Pontiac sport truck
so you admit they are just excuses and not actual valid reasons?

Camaro Engines? 4 Cylinder Turbo considered by Lutz
Huh? The panthers are ancient and were about the same age as the B-bodies at the time. The Fleetwood was easily better than the Town Car..... and as far as longevity... not much beats a b-body.

Camaro Engines? 4 Cylinder Turbo considered by Lutz
so we're not going to cheer when GM cans the DTS and produces a 7-series competitor?
-
Camaro Engines? 4 Cylinder Turbo considered by Lutz
Truth. especially with that Turbo-4 BAS-II waiting in the wings. More torque at 1,000 rpm than the 3.6vvt and much better highway gas mileage and engine shut off at stop.... what's not to love?

Still, what about the 278 in the Lambdas?
