  1. When BMW uses the Lambdas as it's base for their US Sport Utility King Sedan, then get back to me. Or when VW buys Chrysler.... hey... $h!tier things have happened.
  2. That is the 2005 interior...... how is this all new when you look at the 2009 interior?
  3. same as the omni/rabbit then....
  4. Take a look at the interior.... is this a game of "Spot the All New"? 2005 RL 2009 RL
  5. I think they're using the term "all new" very loosely. looks like the previous RL that went through a south florida Eldorado classic suncoast executive edition treatment. it's just missing the faux top, vouges, and continental kit.
  6. Aura is L-series sized and more or less directly replaced it with a short absence in between... though I'm sure there are still some L-series on a lot somewhere out there. the Astra directly replaces the Ion and will be getting a sedan version in the future.
  7. There are idiotguards in place in the Enclave for when Junior takes mommy's Enclave out to the movies and tries to drive the whole way in 1st gear. I don't blame GM for not wanting to have the warranty headaches. but as has already been hashed out in this thread... the existence of the switch in the Enclave is not to make the 4800lb. SUV into a freeway ramp burner but to replace the 1,2,3,4,5 notches on the shift gate. Why do we still need a big lever to select gears that are electronically activated anyway. When they start autocrossing the Enclave on the Nürgburgring... then maybe you have an argument. I've been arguing for the return of pushbutton transmission selectors for a while.... especially so after the remarkably stupid shifter placement in the new ChryslerBus vans.
  8. while I'm sure there are people out there that love the new Scions, the sales numbers and reviews are telling the real story. The xB lost it's edge and now is just a Corolla Van.. in fact it might even sell better if it had a name like Corolla Transporter or something. The xD is as ugly as the xA ever was. The TC is a good little car for it's segment but is really just a rehash of the original Celica formula and could easily be folded into Toyota.
  9. CR rated the Plymouth Volare and Dodge Dart as best picks..... 'nough said.
  10. 3.9 base 250hp 3.6 DI mid 300hp 4.9 small V8 350hp Seventy twelve.oh liter LS-30 top of the line model. 500hp
  11. I have no doubt that there are Camaros and Firebirds of every generation out there that can lift the front wheels off the ground. However, a circa '89 Firebird V6 ain't gonna do it.
  12. total badge job. reminds me of
  13. Very sharp. Nice interior.... carried over the duel cowl style from the Malibu very nicely. Edge and Highlander should be worried. This positively pwns the Pilot.
  14. but.... but.... pushrods r teh sux! zomg! you musta put V-tec in that....... only wai possible
  15. gone after the next generation.... or merged into Toyota.
  16. not sure this is a real optical illusion... the gif animation switches frame direction at random intervals....
  17. hehe... he was full of hot air.... do you really think a circa '89 Firebird V6 would be able to pull it's front wheels off the ground?
  18. Easier sales.... instead of having to coerce people into the car, having people come in specifically looking for the car will help a lot too.
  19. front wheels off the ground..... he was totally serious.... he also wrapped it around a tree and blamed it on unexpected sudden acceleration....
  20. higher transaction price.
  21. There was a kid back in highschool who had a white Firebird V6 as far as I could tell, unmodified... don't remember the year, but it was a second to last gen. He used to brag about the wheelies he'd do...... I would mock him by telling him my FWD Toronado had a V8 and could totally do higher wheelies than his Firebird. His argument against it was always "no way an Oldsmobile is gonna do better wheelies than a Firebird"..... never argued against the concept of a FWD car doing wheelies though.... He was a thinker....
  22. Had One, Never Did Again
  23. it's no Aztec, but doesn't light my fire. If I'm going to go for a plebian italian automaker of questionable reliability, I'll pick Alfa Romeo.
  24. Other than the Tata... it was the only "new" car that qualified. Delorean, Tucker, Porsche..... I'm thinking probably not.
