CTS Comes in 5th in Jalopnik's "10 most Beautiful Cars"
Ten Most Beautiful Cars Currently for Sale Link to Jalopnik The CTS comes in 5th after two Alfas, the DB9, and a Maserati. Only American on the list. Honestly, that the CTS is playing in this league in terms of attractiveness says a lot about how far Cadillac has come.

The 2.9 litre diesel would be great in the small trucks. 250hp and over 400ft/lbs of torque.

Is KAPPA Dead?
If by "die" you mean "sold off"... then yes, I agree with you. Killing a brand costs money. Selling a brand doesn't.

Molter, I'm tossing you a joke, can you catch it?

Autoblog Embargo Leak of First Drive - ZR-1
It's ok I guess, but it'll never run with the 5-series. It doesn't have 27 way seats with power reach around, 19.1 surround sound <for those surround sound CDs that no one makes>, the leather is corinthian instead of the nicer bavarian kind, it doesn't have that "teutonic"* feel, it's pushrod V8 will never be better than the BMW V8, and the 5-series already outsells it. </SMK> *Teutonic = Germanic.... why one would look for this in an American car is beyond absurd.

2010 Pontiac G6 MCE Spotted W/O Camo
In response to F-O-G: Pontiac should consist of: Vibe - same as now Solstice, Solstice Coupe - Alpha SWB Tempest Sedan/Coup/Hatch - Alpha SWB - G5 replacement Grand Am sedan, coupe, convertible, wagon - Alpha LWB - G6 replacement G8 gets shipped over to Chevy to be sold as the Impala, produced on same line as Camaro. Sold in sedan, truck, and wagon configurations. Buick should consist of: Skylark - EPII SWB, definately quiet tuned and built for comfort over speed. Invicta - EPII LWB, basically the coming LaCrosse Park Ave - Zeta Enclave - keep the current one, why mess with success GMC would consist of: Everything now except Acadia That should fill out the Pontiac/Buick/GMC showrooms with very little overlap. Saturn: Just lift the best sellers from the Opel lineup and sell them here. Drop the SKY and Outlook Cadillac: CLR - Alpha SWB coupe and roadster, think SKY that has been reworked appropriately for Cadillac. BTS - Alpha SWB sedan CTS - same as now, add hard top convertible STS - SWB Zeta DTS - LWB Zeta SRX - coming one will sell even if it's not our tastes Escalade - just keep it, add diesels Saab: Set a low reserve and "Buy it Now" price on Ebay.

Is KAPPA Dead?
I understood <correct me if I'm wrong> that one of the big dings against Kappa was it's relatively limited platform sharing flexibility. Chevy *definitely* should have gotten the Nomad concept.

Is KAPPA Dead?
I wouldn't be surprised. Disappointed, yes. Surprised, no.

Diamonds In The Rough
The one I posted is exactly like my first car.

What cars that havn't been made in years do you all the sudden see a lot of now.
We've always had lots of A-bodies around. Ciera and Centuries mostly, Celebrities and 6000s not so much.

Well the original '66-'67 Toro was intended to have stylistic nods to the Cord. The reason being that the Cord was the last semi-successful attempt at a FWD car. The broad horizontal grill, the pop up headlights, the front "fins" that were supposed to invoke imagery of pontoon fenders. Someone who didn't know better might see those three pictures above and think they were 1930s, 1960s, and 1980s versions of the same car.

See, I like the Toronado best because it's a much more quiet, elegant, and cleaner design than the Eldorados. The El-Dogs, especially ones with the Biarritz grills, look like the automotive equivalent of guy wearing too many gold chains and rings. The 4100 kills any chance of me ever owning one. I'd take the 350 diesel first. I like the Riviera's but they seem a bit soft and fem to me, and I'm not a big fan of the interior. I am a big fan of Art Deco design and the Toronado <and early 80s 98s> are the closest you got to Deco in the 80s. And I'm surprised you aren't aware of the styling inspiration for this car 68....

How hard is it to purchase a canadian car and bring it to the states anyway?

It's a little early for my birthday...
All of my preparations for Europe have left me ill-prepared to make a sudden purchase such as this.

Zipcar has been buying Volvo S40s as their "premium" offering in their car sharing service. I've been meaning to try out the one we just got here in Pittsburgh. I wonder if Zipcar counts towards fleet totals.... I'd imagine they do.
