  1. I am not far left and I'm ridiculing him for it. There are Republicans who don't approve of his pick. The point is, had he picked a more worthy VP of either gender, he would not be subjected to this now. Off the top of my head, Whittman would have made a decent choice if he wanted a woman VP. Half of the criticism would melt away because few could argue with her credentials and only her policies would be left.
  2. Hey man, show me links that show I'm wrong. You haven't been able to yet. Burden of proof is now on you. "Lipstick on a pig" is a common phrase and I have proven it using just posts from C&G. Horse and Sparrow theory doesn't work, there is over 80 years of history to prove that. Palin contradicts herself regularly, 15 minutes on YouTube will prove that. A rash, uninformed, purely political, VP pick is not conservative, Webster will prove that.
  3. Greenspan was a major contributer to the mess we're in now so I automatically question his judgment...... but he's still right in this case.
  4. If nothing else, McCain wouldn't have been subjected to all this ridicule.
  5. Fight me all you want, but I still have the truth on my side. I'm link happy.
  6. All of those other actors being wrong/crazy doesn't mean that Matt Damon is also. Oh noess1!!!11 Whitmann said one dumb thing! Can we start counting Palin's dumb statements?
  7. Still gouging. Still no major movement in the wholesale prices.
  8. Well, I'm certain of this much. NO B-PILLAR!!!!
  9. If you really want to take it that way, Palin is the lipstick, McCain is the pig. Useage of the phrase "Lipstick on a pig" on just this website alone: Here Here Here Here Referenced here Referenced here Here Here Here Here Here There are 3 pages worth of results.... in case you're curious.
  10. Did you know there is a second $600 million dollar bridge that she does still support (as of now at least) that would allow residents from her home town to get to Anchorage faster.....? I'll try and get more links later.
  11. Had McCain picked Christine Todd Whitmann, I would have come to the conclusion that he's serious about the economy and serious about the environment.... or just plain serious period. Whitmann is an environmentalist former two term NJ Governor who cut taxes and balanced the state budget. The then was head of the EPA.
  12. Just because he's Hollywood doesn't mean he can't be right. I have no idea the impression you're referring to
  13. This is only sort of horse and sparrow theory because they would be federally guaranteed loans not direct bail outs, but I see where you're going. I don't know the specifics around the financials, but as long as the companies will be directly paying the loan back (ala Chrysler in the 1980s), I see no problem with it. edit: In fact, I'd go so far as to put a "foreign competition tariff" on the imports to help subsidize the loan, but the globalists would string me from the nearest tree.
  14. Best quote about Palin's candidacy......
  15. yes, you're right. The destruction of our civil liberties is minor. P.S. What personal responsibilities is Obama going to take over for me?...... Just trying to figure out where my schedule is going to free up.
  16. The price hasn't increased AT ALL on the wholesale market. Oil has gone down.
  17. His idea of change is ordering new whitehouse stationary.
  18. I'm sure you got all misty eyed over Bush right?
  19. He did ok on Letterman. Oh yeah, and the better candid speakers always get elected President....
  20. What ever happened to republicans giving money to the rich and to the capitalists?
  21. Oh how I wish we could embed YouTube vids into the thread.
  22. I follow politics constantly and I wouldn't even want to see 10 debates.
  23. Nothing but gouging. Oil is at $101/bbl and RBOB wholesale gasoline is $2.77. Wholesale gas has been in the 2.65 - 2.79 range all week.
  24. Again, worst case scenario and still be right.... all she had to do was pick one of those. Edit: This is the same woman who two month ago said "well first I need someone to tell me exactly what it is the Vice President does!"... No benefit of the doubt for you.
