Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
You have to be careful with RCP. They've had some credibility problems lately and they don't disclose their poll selection methods. That said, RCP's number is current pretty close to FiveThirtyEight's number running between +6.5 and +7.5. However, that's just for the popular vote and we all know how well that works. +6.5 is not statistically insignificant. Though mildly close in popular vote, Obama is wiping the floor with McCain on the electoral map. Most of the EV scenarios have Obama at 360+ with the top two scenarios being 369 and 380. That doesn't make for a very tight race.

Can you link your data? I'm not denying it's authenticity, I'm just surprised FiveThirtyEight.com doesn't have it listed yet.

LIGHTER THREAD
If you can get 6k for it now, your total down on a new car would be 7,500. You could put that toward any GM under 35k and get a decent finance deal. I don't know what kind of car you're looking for though...

Put ads out on Craigslist and any other free site you can think of to try and sell it, but act as if you're going to keep it forever. i.e. get the stuff done to it that needs to get done. but I'm confused.... is the Aztek a lease or a loan?

That was the election there folks. Good night and good luck. CNN poll from the tee-vee: Obama 58, McCain 31. CBS undecideds: Obama 53, McCain 22. MSNBC: Obama 84, McCain 15 - this one seems a bit out of wack- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
you weren't going to vote for him ever....... wasn't is you who this morning was interested in having Chuck Norris run just because he's a Republican?- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
Agreed. I wanted McCain to do well. I wanted this to be a more exciting fight.- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
Obama walked away with this one. McCain was great out of the gate and then just got frustrated and cranky and often wandered around to unrelated topics.- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
HAHA I didn't even catch this earlier. Palin's son has down syndrome, but McCain keeps saying he has Autism- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
Vote Obama! You'll get more sex!- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
you think that if there is a support system for adoption or single mothers is put in place, chicks are going to be much more willing to put out? 75% of C&G is going to be pretty happy if Obama gets in office then....- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
Lizard tongue again- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
At no point have we seen a grace note from McCain. When dealing with the negativism of the campaign, it would not have killed him to seem genuinely horrified at calls for violence rather than offended that anyone dare criticize him or some of his supporters. Or to wish Obama well. It's this lack of generosity of spirit that he lacks and that people want in a president. Obama still manages to say when he agrees with or admires McCain. In this whole dynamic, Obama seems more secure, more self-controlled, more mature. He is the Alpha Male on this stage, and McCain the bristling teen - aged 72. No wonder women seem to be so disproportionately pro-Obama.- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
Well they better hurry up and die and reduce the surplus population. Seriously, could get any more scrooge like?- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
I'm sorry, I'm watching a debate for president of the United States... not one for Governor of PA- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
McCain really needs to knock off the eye rolls. They're going to go down like G.H.W. Bush's watch looking.- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
I'm just interested in the federal taxes.- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
not like we do edit: Do you run your own business? Cause I do....- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
on paper..... after deductions it is much lower....- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
Requiring other countries to maintain environmental and working conditions standards is not protectionism. In fact... it's just good business... should be part of any request for quote. "Make me this product with these specifications with these standards"- Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
nope, because we'll be deeper in debt. Again, you can't cut taxes on companies who aren't going to be making money anyway. It doesn't matter if the business tax rate is 15% or 50% if companies keep imploding at the rate they are today. - Tonight's Debate 10/15/2008
