As a first gen CTS owner, I can attest that even the lower powered 3.6 can still destroy tires and have you facing the wrong way...... if the Stabilitrack is switched off.

I drive a 2004 CRV every day. The engine is refined but my grandmother's broken hip can offer more torque. With just two of us in the car, power is barely adequate. With 4 people, luggage and A/C, power is grossly insufficient. The pushrod in the Equinox is much more powerful feeling. Road noise is LOUD, this is one of my common complaints in all Hondas however. 60,000 miles and there are already rust spots around the rear door hinges. It's been garaged most of it's life. It returned a paltry 23mpg over a 1,200 mile trek around PA, 95% highway driving. I had to keep it around 70mph out of necessity because any more than that and the engine would be screaming at 5,000rpm <but hey, it's a very refined 5,000rpm> just to make it up the mountains at 80mph. My 300hp Avalanche, never a slouch for power, with twice the weight did 19mpg on the trip to Camino's and back at extra legal speeds. So... you're right, I can't imagine why anyone would buy another one other than brand.

A 1/2 black man raised by a single white mother, who put himself through law school, who then turned down high paying jobs to help his local community is somehow more elitist and uppity than the white grandson of two Admirals who married a multi-millionaire heiress, and has been in the senate for 30 years..... I love it. 95% of the time is not reaching across party lines. Senator Spector is far more accomplished at that. Yes, Joe's party affiliation has changed. Liberman disagrees with the RNC with just about everything except the war. Barack drives a 300C. Senator McCain isn't a leader.... he has no executive experience remember? Here's the extreme parts about Candidate McCain. 1. He's in favor of tax cuts regardless of their fiscal responsibility. This will hurt the country more than help it. 2. He's in favor of Horse and Sparrow theory, this is only not extreme because it's been a mainstay of republican fiscal insanity for 80 years. 3. 100 year in Iraq? 4. Willing to invade Iran without even stopping and calling them to say "What would it take to get you to stop building those reactors?" 5. Willingly admits to knowing nothing about economics yet insists on setting economic policies. 6. Picked a VP candidate without vetting her. 7. Picked a VP candidate with no worthwhile experience to run with a 5 time skin cancer survivor.

I'm talking about federal funding not federal control. The Federal government should set aside funding for each state to develop green energy that is most appropriate for the particular region. Florida is bad for wind but great for solar. Illinois is bad for solar but great for wind.

Nukes suffer from NIMBY but they don't really need any federal funding. Wind and solar are still need some funding to help with efficiency <less so with wind, but still>.

1. I'm very much in favor of an increase in capital punishment especially in cases where DNA evidence removes any reasonable doubt. As an added bonus, I believe the executions should take place on Pay Per View. Capital punishment loses it's effectiveness as a deterrent if you only hear about it when the guy on the evening news reads it to you. 2. I don't believe that at all..... We should have started switching away from oil as a transportation fuel source 35 years ago. Had we done that, we would have avoided both Iraq wars, we would have avoided war in Afghanistan, we would not be having a fuel crisis right now, and none of us would know who Osama Bin Laden is. Osama got pissed because he felt we disrespected Saudi Arabia while we where there in '92. In Iraq this time around we attacked a country that had nothing to do with 9-11. Talking with Iran is ALREADY producing results. We aren't getting along with Russia right now... what are we going to do... invade them too!? 4. I'm in favor of personal ownership of SOME firearms. I do not believe, however, that one needs to own assault rifles or fully automatic weapons. Handguns for self defense and guns for hunting are fine. If you're going to maintain that we should be able to keep weapons in case we need to overthrow our government, then we need to start building centrifuges in our basement for refining uranium.
