A Big Asstra Inventory
Sure they do. They don't bring over the cloth seat, hand crank window 3-series. They don't bring over the FWD A8. I'm sure there is more. But nearly all of the "premium" Euros are available over there in non-premium form. E-class is one of the most common taxis I see in germany.

What year was it? The 2000s and 2001s were firmed up a lot.

GM Holden pulls the plug on Cadillac for Oz two weeks before the CTS was due on sale
If you're going to launch it, launch it right. If you don't have the money to launch it right, don't launch it at all.

Yes they do. By then the bugs had been worked out. There were engine sensor and pulley changes that made it by then. The engine was also detuned and used in the Saturn LS starting in 2000.

Next-gen Buick small sedan could be built by Opel
Think of it another way. Americans have long felt that all things French are more refined, luxurious, and "special". Furthermore, I really feel that the names in a brand should reflect a theme in some way. Some sort of connection. All french names would work like that. I once had suggested that Saturn, in a nod to the brand name and to the hope that they would go all hybrid, go with Ion, Proton, Electron, Neutron, Compound (good for SUV),

As much as I liked my CTS, I thought the name was stupid. I hate the alpha numerics.. It's just gotta be a real word, no matter the language.

Agila? What's that? Vaio? Sony will have a problem with that one. I just like Apollo because it sounds strong. No one outside of us will remember it. It's a real name.

In typical GM fashion, the reliability issues had been fixed in the final two years.

Transmission = blown
What do you do to your cars man? Ford was never able to make a decent FWD automatic and wisely outsourced that to GM, but their RWDs were reliable if a bit clunky.

320-hp, twin-turbo Opel Insignia spied ahead of Geneva debut
Since you've already been fisked by other users about your stupidly inaccurate A8 information but I want you to think about this next one for a second. Do you really think people cross shopping Acura, Lincoln, and Buick are going to care if the car gets to 60 in 6.9 seconds instead of 6.3?

To be fair, the Catera was half assed and we didn't even get the good engines. We got the engine Europe didn't want. The L-series was never really marketed.

Obama Looks to give States the rights to set Emissions and Mileage Standards
Gas prices will not remain low. As soon as the economy rebounds expect gas to shoot back up to previous peaks and higher. I expect that once that happens, gentrification will start to occur.
