  1. Doesn't matter when you're still wrong about the torque steer. GM could still do a FWD Super
  2. he can look at me like that...
  3. by "all that 2 years ago" you mean just the 8-speed right? Lexus doesn't have a direct injection V8 and they don't have a 2-mode hybrid.
  4. I think that is more due to the fact that Buick hasn't had anything to really offer the ES buyer since....welll ever. If the new Malibu can run with the Camry easily, then the new Lacrosse should run with the ES just as well having similar upgrades.
  5. Due to current economic conditions, a 2015 Ford Falcon UTE
  6. It's great that you can see the worst in anything good written about GM. The article didn't say any of that. Most articles rate the Malibu as the best looking of the bunch and consider the Malibu a pleasure to drive. You're just grasping as straws to say anything negative about GM. Stop trolling or be banned.
  7. You first with the thinking. Monte Carlo, Ion, and Grand Prix are out of production. Impala, during the past year, did much better than expected with retail sales, much of the decline was in fleet sales. Lucerne and DTS aren't even close to the same class as the Malibu, no one walked out of a Cadillac dealer after seriously considering a DTS and went to buy a Malibu. Only the G6 and maybe the Lacrosse fit your argument, but both are at the end of their lives anyway. And if Pontiac or Buick are going to lose a sale, I'd much rather them lose the sale to Chevy than to Nissan, Honda, or Toyota. That's what having multiple brands is all about isn't it?
  8. That's pretty strong praise for a FWD car coming from 68.
  9. How hard is it to put on? You should put an add on Craigslist and make some extra money. Could help.
  10. You're overly analytical in a Tim Gunn sort of way; picking on a crease here or a headlamp angle there. Is the Buick generic? Maybe, but less so than some rivals while it still has some Buick specific design cues. Overall, it still works as a Buick even if you don't like the tail lamp treatment. If anything Buick has learned a lesson from Chrysler. Bold, polarizing design only gives you great sales for a year or two before a redesign is needed. Buick doesn't have that kind of cash, so a longer wearing and more generic design is produced. This will age with much more grace than the 300c. It will probably hold it's own over time as well as the ES does. I know you are involved in design in some way, but sometimes you just have to step back, look at it from the targeted audience's perspective, and don't over think it. Will ES/TL/MKZ/Lucerne buyers be interested in it? If they can get over it being a Buick, then yes. I think it could even make inroads with some G37 buyers as I see a lot of middle/older age folks driving them.
  11. Isn't it supposed to be shared with a new Subaru?
  12. Welcome to Cheers & Gears.
  13. The RX is the first result of Toyota's purchase of controlling interest in Subaru. I looks like they borrowed the Impreza designer for a week.
  14. CTS has rep and cred. SRX does not.
  15. no, even there.
  16. If C&G is any example, you'll probably find more GM fans on foreign car sites than on domestic ones.
  17. Here is the only question that should be in anyone's mind regardless of if you'd ever buy one or not. Will it compete favorably with the ES? I think that is a resounding yes. Any comparisons with any BMW will be summarily deleted.
  18. who let you out of your cage? You know why the contour on the side of the car is unique? BECAUSE IT'S A FREAKING BUICK TRADEMARK!
  19. Where is the headline article that Toyota is finally catching up to GM in technology 15 years later?
  20. from the front it looks too much like a badge engineered Dodge Charger
  21. I could understand if the SRX was some legendary car with a large following..... but it's not on Sigma again because no one bought it. If you're all such enthusiasts of the first SRX, why didn't you buy am original one? We're not talking about switching the Camaro to FWD or anything..... it was an also-ran, one generation, SUV that handled well. I wouldn't buy this SRX.... but I wouldn't have bought the previous one either. However, I CAN see that this will be a better seller, economic conditions aside, than the current SRX. It will bring more people, more women, to the Cadillac brand. That is what is important.
  22. It's thought that Israel is gearing up to attack Iran before Obama takes office.
  23. I saw a dealer locally with a sign out front that says "GM is back in the lending business!"
