  1. I wish upper management would get this.
  2. He got a nasty virus. I tried to fix it remotely, but there is only so much I can do over the phone.
  3. Those of you with us long enough know that we've always had server issues. In the past we've financed server moves through donations. We have decided it is time to offer a Premium subscription for $12 annually. Those of you who opt not to subscribe will see no changes other than the following: Standard plan: Free Number of seconds between searches has changed from 10 seconds to 30 seconds. Edit time restriction (in minutes) has changed from unlimited to 15 minutes. The reason for this is these are two areas that directly effect server performance. Premium plan: $15/annually Everything currently available to a standard member: Number of seconds between searches has changed from 30 seconds to 10 seconds. Edit time restriction (in minutes) would change from 15 minutes to unlimited. 500 message limit in PM system. Ability to embed HTML in the posts of select forums. (this will allow direct embedding of youtube videos) Access to the "Rated R" forum. Access to the "C&G Council" where Admins will take up issues for a vote that a larger number of C&Gers should have a say in. Ability to request free upgrade to the "Politics and Social issues" forum. An @Cheersandgears.com email address by request. A C&G supporter icon next to their name on every post. (Future rollout date) To subscribe to premium membership, go to your "My Controls" page. On the left hand column under "Options" find "Purchase Paid Subscription". The subscription will not automatically renew at the end of the term. With additional revenue we can continue to fund the server costs and future upgrades. Thank you for your attention, Your Admin Team
  4. Wow! That game title caught my attention!
  5. Anything can go 231mph if you put enough muscle behind it.
  6. You know what is really cool? In 1993 I could buy a full tower 486DX2/66 with 4x CD drive and a massive 8 meg of ram and a roomy 120 meg hard drive for about $2,000 In 2009, I can buy a dual core processor tower with 4 gig of ram and 500 gig hard drive and a DVD-RW burner for about $399 It would have been a shame if, in 1994, Intel didn't develop the Pentium line.
  7. Now see? Isn't that so much prettier? Dump the Acura brand and sell this as the Honda Prelude, the TL as the Honda Vigor, the RL as the Honda Legend.
  8. :spit: :mind-blowing: :mind-blowing:
  9. Wasn't the European version getting a diesel? That'd be fun to run around in.
  10. Fixed that for you, eh?
  11. fixed. not sure why spell check didn't pick that up
  12. Your idiotic comparisons are done.
  13. Ah, I see the misunderstanding. Look at the statement as a whole. He is referring to building to demand rather than building to capacity. GM overbuilds because they have to pay the workers anyway if they're on the line or at the jobs bank. Might as well be able to book some revenue for it.
  14. That's easy. Harley Earl.
  15. WE wouldn't build it for you. Think of how much less traffic would be on the roads if the "others" weren't driving.
  16. Back your $h! up with links or I'm just deleting your posts. You're just going to continue to be wrong on this. The CTS is "loud" not because of the valvetrain but because of the exhaust tuning. Cadillac tuned the CTS sound the way they did on purpose. Some of the smoothest and quietest V8s I've been behind are pushrod. LT-1 Fleetwoods are super quiet inside and they had relatively minimal sound deadening compared to modern cars. The 5.3 in my Avalanche was difficult to hear from the front and was actually louder near the tailpipe than near the engine. The idle was smooth like glass and it was silent on the highway. Cadillac chose a different route than Lexus for a reason. They realized they weren't going to be able to out Lexus, Lexus. Cadillac made the CTS-V look great and sound badass. The Lexus GS is the Bill Gates of cars. The Cadillac CTS-V is the James Bond.
  17. Have you seen one in person Dodgefan? This is one of those cars that never does well in photographs but is a looker in person.
  18. My CTS never had a rattle.
  19. Not if it's a gin and tonic in a swarm of malaria infected mosquitos.
  20. I want a gin and tonic
  21. If Chevy can only sell 100,000 Cobalts but the plant is running at a rate of 180,000 then 80,000 get dumped into rental fleets. Hurts resale value.
  22. Fallingwater
  23. The money should be spent on public transit infrastructure instead. Create millions of jobs creating the greatest rail and light rail network in the world. It would put us in a better position economically and would also address total oil consumption by the U.S.
  24. Boston Legal CSI -the original one West Wing I don't watch TV usually so I don't know what new shows come out. I hear about them later then add them to my netflix que. Edit: Oh yeah, and House MD

Hey there, we noticed you're using an ad-blocker. We're a small site that is supported by ads or subscriptions. We rely on these to pay for server costs and vehicle reviews.  Please consider whitelisting us in your ad-blocker, or if you really like what you see, you can pick up one of our subscriptions for just $1.75 a month or $15 a year. It may not seem like a lot, but it goes a long way to help support real, honest content, that isn't generated by an AI bot.

See you out there.
