Obama is pro-GM
You think Obama wants to be known as the President that allowed GM to fold under his watch? Bush didn't want that title either, that's why he provided just enough loans to get GM to March.

Ram Multithreading
this is mostly news for laptop makers. A 20% drop in power consumption is great.

Possible Purchase
Since the engine has been changed out, the color matters to me more. And an interesting development at work that happened while I was on I-70 to Columbus this morning may make this much more possible.

Putting the 'Man' in 'Manual Labor'
In most cases it seems that I inherit someone else's basket case, be it a car, computer code, lawnmower, apartment building, anything....... I spend a lot of time figuring out how people f-ed something up in such an odd way.....

Putting the 'Man' in 'Manual Labor'
To a degree, even just C&G is something I tinker with. The only times I enjoy my office job are when we get a problem that is very unusual and I get to play Dr. House and figure out the problem

Putting the 'Man' in 'Manual Labor'
I'm really not happy unless I'm tinkering on something or enjoying whatever it was I was tinkering on an hour ago. I really hate having an office job.

Holden Zeta export program could be back on?
Holden Zeta export program could be back on? We were tipped off to this story in the Sydney Morning Herald General Motors says it is hopeful of winning a lucrative contract to supply re-badged Holden Commodores to US law enforcement agencies. Holden could soon be exporting Commodores to the United States again. The company's billion dollar export program ground to a halt at the end of last year after Holden's parent company, General Motors, axed the Pontiac brand in the United States. Holden was selling re-badged Commodores as Pontiac G8s in the States. Holden Export program back on?

G20
I'll be in Ohio the 17th and 18th to do final preparations on an office in Dublin that will be recieving an extra 45 people from the 21st - 25th. I will be working out of my house and out of an office 20 miles south of Pittsburgh from the 21st - 25th.
-
G20
Got an '09 Lucerne CXL nicely loaded. Not a bad car to have for two 4 hour road trips. BTW, based on current estimates, even if every single resident of the City of Pittsburgh were drafted into G20 security service, the protesters would still out number us 2 to 1.

Possible Purchase
Like most things GM, they cancel them once they perfect them. The replacement engines are suppose to be quite reliable.

Wait! You're near this Toronado Diesel?!

Name one GM car you will regret never owning when you are on your deathbed...
Wow! They were back handed with the compliments even back then!

Lookin for an '82-'85

Possible Purchase
Well... part of the reason I am interested in this one is because of the diesel. The engine in this particular Toronado was replaced with a GM Goodwrench crate diesel that has the stronger head bolts. I would like to run bio-diesel through it. I'm not a speed freak. I just need to get it to 70mph and keep it there. I pretty much only want a black car. I don't mind the padded top.
-
Possible Purchase
Well, personally I think the price is a little high for the condition and the fact that it's a diesel (less desirable to "normal" people).... I'm just putting it up here to get a consensus on a fair price.

Tire Rotations - need your advice
You should follow the tire instructions from the manufacturer first, then the instructions from the car manufacturer. Generally, unless your tires are directional there's no need to worry.
