  1. I'll get to see it 3 times. I arrive in Frankfurt at 6:10am on the 8th.
  2. I had the stupidest call in my entire I.T. career today. "Hello, I picked up my laptop today and the screen cracked" ... "I emailed you a screenshot so you could see the damage." yes... he emailed me an alt-print screen to show me the physical damage on his screen.......
  3. Resource intensive. They run well on machines with a lot of ram.
  4. Windows 7 will need a netbook version. The desktop version is too big.
  5. exactly
  6. I need lists of keywords to help promote C&G. This involves typing huge amounts of word combinations. I already have the onset of carpal tunnel. It would be a big help if you guys could type up C&G related words so I could copy/paste them into the site. Anything General Motors related and needs to be at least two words each. For example: Chevy Camaro Chevrolet Camaro Buick Regal Buick Lacrosse Cadillac Escalade Platinum Don't worry about dupes, the software will sort them out. Thanks a bunch and hopefully it will drive more traffic to C&G.
  7. oh.. and the portholes on the LaX Super and Lucerne actually are functional but they're for heat dissipation rather than air intake.
  8. worse is when they're on FWD cars.
  9. says the guy in the Dodge......
  10. First wagon in a long time that has a shot of making the wagon sexy again.
  11. ...from an open door portapotty.
  12. I see a reduction in our nuclear arms stockpile if NK attacks.
  13. Cool. I've been watching Ally for the past couple of months. I'm probably going to ditch my INGDirect account for Ally.
  14. You can do anything you want except game on Ubuntu and it works well on older hardware. For the most part, everything "just works". It was actually easier to install an apple airport network printer in Ubuntu than in either version of windows. I dual boot my old IBM T42 between XP and Ubuntu 9.04. I had to rebuild the machine lately for work reasons. With XP, I installed it and then spent hours downloading updates and trying to find drivers. With Ubuntu, I installed it, configured the wireless network, did one download of updates that took less than 5 minutes, and I was done. That said. I LOVE Windows 7. I'm running the 64-bit edition on a P4 with 4 gigs of ram and it's fast. I only had one driver issue and that was with my Samsung color laser printer. It took some hacking, but I got the driver to install and it works.
  15. I miss all of my past vehicles. Even the '83 Caprice with the 3.8 was special in it's own sort of way. But my favorite two are easy. My black 1985 Oldsmobile Toronado Caliente - loaded to the gills. The only two options it didn't have were sunroof and high end sound. It wasn't fast nor did it handle great, but the driving was effortless, comfortable, and damn did it look great going down the road. It may have been older, but even in 1999 this car had a presence on the road that no jelly bean Continental, Infiniti or Lexus could match. The few times I took it into NYC, the cabbies didn't mess with me. You just don't f%$k with a vehicle that has a hood long enough to land a helicopter on. My black 2004 Cadillac CTS 3.6. Just about midpack in terms of trim, I didn't have NAV or the extra wood. Most here don't like the interior, but I liked it fine and ergonomically it fit me perfectly. I don't need the interior frills that some here feel is required in this type of car. I could turn heads with it even up to the day I turned it in on lease. It handled beautifully and was plenty fast enough to get me in trouble if I wanted. There was one particular drive from Pittsburgh to King of Prussia where I was following a similar year Vette at triple digit speed. I'm sure he could of out run me if he wanted to but even at those speeds I was right there with him in the turns. The 2004 CTS is the epitome of a point and click interface dressed in a sharp, business like, black, pin stripe suit.
  16. says the guy with an LH car fetish....
  17. It's the tires. I doubt you were driving more aggressively than the professionals on the Nurburgring.
  18. So soon? I thought it was going to stick around longer.
  19. Did you do all of this without putting the car in the air?!
  20. If I wanted a forum where the only person in there was me, I'd create it.
  21. and the hybrid trim name for Buick just writes itself.... "Electra"
  22. closed threads will show up in VNP until they fall off or you read them
  23. That's like... you tried to turn on your DVD player but instead almost shot yourself in the head....
  24. Cool it fellas. Croc... you feel ripped off over $1 a month because now more people can post in forums they couldn't post in before.... AND you don't even know what else is coming down the pike? If you really want, I'll refund you a pro-rated $7 and reduce your status. You'll get to see the google ads again too!
