I need lists of keywords to help promote C&G. This involves typing huge amounts of word combinations. I already have the onset of carpal tunnel. It would be a big help if you guys could type up C&G related words so I could copy/paste them into the site. Anything General Motors related and needs to be at least two words each. For example: Chevy Camaro Chevrolet Camaro Buick Regal Buick Lacrosse Cadillac Escalade Platinum Don't worry about dupes, the software will sort them out. Thanks a bunch and hopefully it will drive more traffic to C&G.

oh.. and the portholes on the LaX Super and Lucerne actually are functional but they're for heat dissipation rather than air intake.

worse is when they're on FWD cars.

Bye Bye, GMAC: Will ‘Ally Bank’ Work or Not?
Drew Dowdell replied to Oracle of Delphi's topic in Industry News
Cool. I've been watching Ally for the past couple of months. I'm probably going to ditch my INGDirect account for Ally. -
You can do anything you want except game on Ubuntu and it works well on older hardware. For the most part, everything "just works". It was actually easier to install an apple airport network printer in Ubuntu than in either version of windows. I dual boot my old IBM T42 between XP and Ubuntu 9.04. I had to rebuild the machine lately for work reasons. With XP, I installed it and then spent hours downloading updates and trying to find drivers. With Ubuntu, I installed it, configured the wireless network, did one download of updates that took less than 5 minutes, and I was done. That said. I LOVE Windows 7. I'm running the 64-bit edition on a P4 with 4 gigs of ram and it's fast. I only had one driver issue and that was with my Samsung color laser printer. It took some hacking, but I got the driver to install and it works.

I miss all of my past vehicles. Even the '83 Caprice with the 3.8 was special in it's own sort of way. But my favorite two are easy. My black 1985 Oldsmobile Toronado Caliente - loaded to the gills. The only two options it didn't have were sunroof and high end sound. It wasn't fast nor did it handle great, but the driving was effortless, comfortable, and damn did it look great going down the road. It may have been older, but even in 1999 this car had a presence on the road that no jelly bean Continental, Infiniti or Lexus could match. The few times I took it into NYC, the cabbies didn't mess with me. You just don't f%$k with a vehicle that has a hood long enough to land a helicopter on. My black 2004 Cadillac CTS 3.6. Just about midpack in terms of trim, I didn't have NAV or the extra wood. Most here don't like the interior, but I liked it fine and ergonomically it fit me perfectly. I don't need the interior frills that some here feel is required in this type of car. I could turn heads with it even up to the day I turned it in on lease. It handled beautifully and was plenty fast enough to get me in trouble if I wanted. There was one particular drive from Pittsburgh to King of Prussia where I was following a similar year Vette at triple digit speed. I'm sure he could of out run me if he wanted to but even at those speeds I was right there with him in the turns. The 2004 CTS is the epitome of a point and click interface dressed in a sharp, business like, black, pin stripe suit.

It's the tires. I doubt you were driving more aggressively than the professionals on the Nurburgring.

So soon? I thought it was going to stick around longer.

Did you do all of this without putting the car in the air?!

If I wanted a forum where the only person in there was me, I'd create it.

Cool it fellas. Croc... you feel ripped off over $1 a month because now more people can post in forums they couldn't post in before.... AND you don't even know what else is coming down the pike? If you really want, I'll refund you a pro-rated $7 and reduce your status. You'll get to see the google ads again too!

The Ecotec development would be accelerated and sent to charm school. Interior improvements get highest priority across the board. Buy one of each of the top 3 competitors in each segment. Force the divisional management to drive each one for a week and write a report on what GM could do to beat each car. Those reports would be reviewed by the product planning committee. Continue to refine the 3.4 DOHC until the Shortstar arrives. Use that engine in place of the 3800 where it will fit (it's a physically large engine). Shortstar replaces the 3800 and the 3.4 Twincam company wide upon arrival. All other pushrod V6es dropped, replaced with heavily refined Twincam/Ecotecs. Atlas I5 and I6 programs changed to allow for use in full size trucks and cars. Specifically starting with the Holden VY platform in 2000. From this point forward, the Holden V-platforms replace the upper end W and G bodies. Chevy: GEO dropped. Delta platform development would be accelerated and ready for 2000 release. Retains Cavalier name. N-body Malibu project continues. Replaced with epsilon Malibu that we got in 2008. Lumina dropped. Impala moves to medium wheelbase G-body. Choice of 3.4 DOHC or 5.7 litre LT-1. 9C1 package available for fleet use. Sorry guys, I still kill the B-body Impala. The old girl had been around since 1977. If you're looking for full size RWD goodness see our friends at Pontiac. Camaro development continues. Lumina APV given a real name and sent back to be redesigned for real this time. Trailblazer continues development. Saturn: Closed. S-Series spruced up and goes to Oldsmobile Pontiac: drops the Sunfire, Transport. Line trimmed to SWB holden V Grand Am, MWB holden V Grand Prix with high end GTO option, LWB holden V Bonneville, Firebird/TransAm. Bonneville 9C1 package available for fleet use. Dealer body completely merged with Buick and GMC. Oldsmobile: Gains the s-series from Saturn which eventually moves to Delta. Achieva serves out the remainder of it's time and is then dropped. Cutlass Supreme name NOT changed to Intrigue. Coupe and convertible options continue to be offered. Remains on W-body till Epsilon available. Silhouette dropped. Eighty Eight moves to a shortened G-body below the Aurora. Gets the Shortstar. Aurora becomes a halo above the Eighty Eight. Ninety-Eight moves to an ultra long wheelbase G-body. Adds a "Vue" like vehicle when Theta is ready. Bravada continues development. Cutlass Cierra serves out the remainder of it's days as a government fleet car and then is dropped. Buick: Skylark moved to SWB Epsilon at the end of the N-body run. Century dropped. Regal moved to LWB Epsilon. LeSabre dropped Park Ave moved to LWB Holden V platform. Roadmaster dropped. Riviera development continues the same but with DOHC engines. Work begins on a FWD/AWD crossover vehicle. Turbos abound. Cadillac: Catera is sourced from Holden rather than Opel. Eldorado, Seville and Deville move to Holden bodies. Fleetwood gets a new, unique to Cadillac platform. Interior, driveline, and handling refinements allow the Fleetwood to claim "Standard of the World" Work begins on a RWD/AWD crossover vehicle. Work begins on th Escalade. Hummer? Saab? Fiat? Never heard of them. Dealers would be Chevy independent, Pontiac/Buick/GMC, Oldsmobile/Cadillac. If you look at my lineup, each dealer would have access to every platform in GM's stable except the ones at the extreme ends of the spectrum, yet there isn't much overlap. Chevy handles FWD "everyman" with some RWD sports thrown in. Buick handles FWD traditional premium, Pontiac handles RWD "everyman" Oldsmobile handles FWD "euro" premium, Cadillac handles RWD world beater luxury
