  1. Let's see Acura try to make a real car out of its RL first before diving headlong into the real flagship material.
  2. The point (which is valid) is that these aren't photos taken by TCC or FamilyCar.com; these are official Toyota releases and therefore should display perfection instead of any flaw. Again, if its a pre-pro flaw, fine, but God, why show pics of the flaw to everyone?
  3. I think the biggest disappoint to many about the new RL is that it really, really looks like an Accord.
  4. The spoiler is retarded.
  5. I could almost care.
  6. Daewoo. Any Daewoo-badged car is likely to be in bad to downright shitty condition. My theory: late-model used car with high depreciation makes it onto Big Ed's Place of Automobiles back in 2003 where a lower-income buyer visits and finds a 2000 Nubria with 32,000 miles for the same price as a 1995 Accord or 1996 Grand Am and duh gets 'Woo'd. The car gets neglected the same way a typical fourth-hand used special is treated and ends up looking and performing like total crap years before its time.
  7. People don't buy Lambos for their fantastic audio systems.
  8. Good thing you didn't hit it with a Fiero... KA-BOOM!

This sounds like the same woman that called me a dumbass because I was driving the correct way down a one-way lane at a shopping center.
  10. If people have a gripe with the colors and materials used in the interior, fine. But I love people who bitch about the layout, which is actually quite intuitive with a few flaws (mainly, a DIC that's partially obscured when driving), or the red lighting with some inane comment like "its confusing because red traditionally is used for something that's wrong." The SSEi and last Aurora were arguably the best overall values of any large car in the early '00s. Stabilitrak, traction control, OnStar, HUD, Connoly leather seats, beautiful 17" chrome wheels, dual unique trapezoidal exhaust tips, astroroof, Bose stereo, full power - all for $33,755 back in 2000 when we drove ours home. Ironically, I hated the styling of the '00 when I saw the first pictures of it. Chalk it up to lousy GM photography because its a real stand-out five years later. People still ask my father if its new.
  11. Actually, it would be like Cadillac having its own forum seperate from GM news...which it does. I don't see an issue here.
  12. Agreed. Nothing quite screams 'CHEAP' like a Durango can.
  13. Buicks and Oldses. Disproportionate comapred to anywhere else in the country I bet. That's not to say Fords and Chevies don't outnumber Buicks and Oldsmobiles (they do), but any given moment, if you're in Tampa Bay, there's a Buick or Olds just over your shoulder. That's the way it should be, IMO.
  14. Okay, guys, this dude is yanking our chains. No one is that retarded. Besides, the only cars that suck more than Toyotas are Bimmers. j/k, Nick :P
  15. Only if you don't get burned...bwahahahaha!
  16. I'm going to throw away the last GS because the entire design of the car irritates me, from the bug-eyed front fascia, to the too-short decklid, to the high-on-opium placement of the brakelamps.
  17. Probably used a Fiero part in it...
  18. I'm talking pure looks, which IMO the current Solara fails it. Looks too melted, like an SC430 left in an oven too long and too ass-heavy, a problem exacerbated by the appearance that Toyota oversprings the rear suspension on it and the Camry. Maybe the Japanese really take an affinity to J-Lo because it seems like a trend has developed where cars have bigger, chunkier asses (Maxima, Camry, Accord, LS)
  19. GM did make this... ...they should've made more of them. -Car and Driver, March 2000 Sigh...
  20. The media loves to show footage and comment on the horrible fuel economy of Escalades and Suburbans but never mentions the horrendous efficiency of a QX56 or Armada.
  21. Saw a black Fusion. Looked pretty nice, but I still hate the tails. Red G6 coupe at Barnes & Noble. Doesn't look like a Solara at all. Saw a green 1st gen Solara, though. Nothing spectacular except that it reminded me that Toyota once designed decent-looking cars. I was shaken back to reality after seeing a newer Solara. *shudder* Another black RL-Class. Ugly as hell. The most hillarious 1988 Taurus ever. I have to get a pic. Black 80s Ford LTD. Looked surprisingly good. I'm sick of 300s. '81ish Chrysler Imperial LeBaron, gold. Beautiful. A jewel. A jacked-up Toyota T100 with a cowboy boot rear window screen and a 'COWBOY' front plate. Yeah. Real cowboys drive six-cylinder Toyotas. And the weirdest, a '99ish Sable on dubs. That's all today and yesterday, friends. I live in a weird area
  22. My major problem is that the LaCrosse's center stack is too 'fat'. Its so wide yet so spartan. At the very least dress it up with nice trim, but better yet, narrow it to a reasonable width.
  23. Adaptive Forward Lighting (i.e. moving headlamps) have been on a bunch of cars over the years, I belive an Opel predates the Lexus application and of course far back on the Tucker of the late '40s. As far as Intellibeam, Cadillac actually had it way before everyone as the Autronic Eye back in the 1950s and it was an option on many other GM cars.
